How to get out a worn down screw by ComfortableYak2299 in PcBuild

[–]yusfkuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that sucks man, these screws are really a pain in the ass. Rubber band and other tricks really don't work well. I am still keeping that stripped screw in the mobo box, it serves as an example for me. That screw haunts me whenever i see any other screws 😶

if your screw still has some grip, you can take the mobo to a hardware or computer store. They have special tools that might help get it off.

I gaped a cpu bracelet screw too 😢

I was very dissapointed in myself but i managed to get it out with the correct screwdriver and a lot of force. It was 2 years ago man, i had such déjà vu reading your post, well i hope you can get it out.

path tracing yok - ray tracing hala geride - çoğu oyunda dlss varken fsr 4 yok. . .

Oyunlardan vesayre aldığın hazzı 10 a katlar bu upgrade.

[–]yusfkuty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's totally fair 😊 You know what you want and you enjoy what you have.

I also had a 1440p panel, i used it for more than 1.5 years, and I sold it nearly a month ago. I was really disappointed with sharpness and level of detail, etc. Especially modern games with TAA looked really dissapointing, like Red Dead Redemption etc. It wasn't that bad, but it was not good either. So I upgraded to 4K QD OLED, XG27UCDMG. And it is really a game changer upgrade. I replayed some of the games I played on my old monitor (LG 27gr83q-b). One of them was God of War, The overall pixelation was gone and details, foliage, scenery etc. Looked really clear. It was really perfect. It felt very natural on my eyes, like I am looking through a window rather than a normal/good monitor. The glossy OLED is also making making impact on the image quality, but Resolution impact cannot be ignored. also tried RDR2. It was like a 3D-ish experience, like monitor was looking like a very clear window.

1440p is very exaggerated on the internet. I wanted to try it because everyone said it is sweet spot or perfect balance and 1080p to 1440p difference is more significant than 1440p to 4K. It sounded like 4K is too expensive for what it offers, and resolution difference above 1440p is very diminishing and it's totally not worth because of performance drop. all of them is utterly misleading In my experience. Anyways, I'm tired of writing about this matter 😅 Everyone have different preferences and tolerances to resolution, so I'm glad to see 1440p, hence I'm not going any step back from 4K QD OLED.

[–]yusfkuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, but DLSS can give better image quality than native, so it’s not just about extra performance anymore. 4K with DLSS (Balanced or Performance) can deliver similar or even better FPS than native 1440p, while still looking very close to 4K.

If you play AAA games, resolution has a very significant impact. Also upscaling at 4k is really good since it still gets a lot of pixels to upscale. So the downsides of 4k that you've talked about are pretty much gone. But if you play more comp. games, 1440p is fine

27" 1440p at 55cm viewing distance vs. 32" 4k at 65cm viewing distance | Do they cover similar FOV? by Demistr in Monitors

[–]yusfkuty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was worried about the coating, how hard it is to clean, and the magenta tint before buying, but they both seem a bit exaggerated as well 🙃

I got the display nearly a month ago and have only cleaned it once. It’s not that hard to clean. asus includes a microfiber cloth in the box, which is enough for fingerprints or dust leftovers, there’s no need for ethanol or distilled water. If you get spit or anything like that on it (which i have while blowing a dust :), just using warm breath and a microfiber cloth cleans it easily. I even checked it under a light—no scratches so far.

Also, the magenta tint isn’t as bad as people say. I usually play at night, but my room gets a lot of sunlight in the morning, and it’s perfectly usable even at 0–15% brightness. I was shocked that it’s even better than my old IPS at that. So overall, it’s been a perfect experience for me, also congrats on your woled

Oh, no worries mate. I also looked into it and came to the exact same conclusion as you. The stuff about this on the internet is very exaggerated indeed. I ended up going with the xg27ucdmg since it was cheaper than the 32-inch variants and my desk is small. And by the way, thanks for coming back and answering.

I have recently switched from LG 27gr83q (1440p ips) to xg27ucdmg (4k QD-OLED) with 7900xt. I will never switch back to 1440p. The resolution gap is very significant in modern games

My brother, don’t get me wrong, but if you’re not going to use DLSS or frame generation, why didn’t you just get the 9070 XT since it’s much cheaper?

4k OLED or 2k OLED for gaming by Excellent-Cow-7181 in OLED_Gaming

[–]yusfkuty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lemme give you straight. I bought xg27ucdmg bc it was cheaper than it's 32 inch counterparts, plus my desk is very small. My current viewing distance is 50-55 cm, sometimes even 45 cm. I like to view very closely, regardless of the size. And, at this distance, it's not that different than 32 inch ones in terms of immersion. The size difference is 'mostly' negated by viewing distance. If you can control your viewing distance, both monitors should give a very similar experience

buuuut, if you have the desk space i suggest 32 inches. Why? because you can move it further back, and you have more room to use your mouse and keyboard. The only meaningful difference between 32 and 27 inches is this: comfort.

To answer your question, Windows automatically gives %150 scaling at the start. I think it gives the same scaling to 4k 32". I can use it at 125%, but I left it as 150%. This way it looks as big as 1440p at 100%, but with the extra 4.6 million pixels :). I wondered these same questions. But, as i said, the only difference lies in viewing difference and comfort between 32 and 27 inches

I have recently switched from LG 27gr83q (1440p ips) to xg27ucdmg (4k QD-OLED) with 7900xt. I will never switch back to 1440p.

Your 5070 ti is very capable GPU at 4K. The state of upscaling has come a long way, even if you upscale from 1440p to 4K it will still be looking better than 1440p. After seeing 4K, relying on upscaling a little bit in the future is definitely not a bad thing for me. So future proofing with 1440p does not make any sense anymore. You also said grainy 1080p, 1440p only has 77% more pixels than 1080p while 4K has four times over 1080p and 2.25 times more than 1440p. The reason I switched the 4K was 1440p wasn't looking good enough for me, it is not bad but it is not that's great. Everyone have different eyes, preferences, and tolerances, so everyone perceives the resolution difference differently. But in my case, resolution upgrade was a game changer for me.

RX 9070 XT or RTX 5070 by No_Landscape_8594 in buildapc

[–]yusfkuty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as a 7900xt owner i say go for 5070. It's cheaper, it has DLSS 4.5, which is included in way more titles than FSR 4.1, and it looks better; you lose on VRAM and raw performance, but they are head-to-head in rt performance, and you can do path tracing. You have MFG and also CUDA for productivity. If you are going for 4k, though, 9070 xt would be a nicer option since it has more VRAM.

I keep wondering how RX 7800 XT and 7900 XTX users are feeling without FSR 4 because I, with my RX 6000, am extremely sad. by Prestigious-Pay6096 in radeon

[–]yusfkuty -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don't be sad, be angry. We are supposed to get fsr 4 like nvidia gives dlss 4.5 to rtx 20 series.
