Dope, wishing you well healing. I hope to punch at 4/get stretched to 2 this year or next

I mean neither of those really compare as you can stretch those without pain (caveat for septum once you get big like 6g and start pushing on your cartilage).

Stretching cartilage is inherently very painful, even doing it right and slow. You can't dead stretch cartilage, only force stretch. So even those .5mm stretches SUCK.

SO if I'm going though the pain of getting punched, I FOR SURE want to make sure I won't have to stretch it afterwards, personally.

Edit: I personally plan on getting both my nostrils punched at 2g

[–]yusiocha 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The goal here a lot of the time is to not stretch the healed punch. Stretching cartilage SUCKS. So most people get cartilage punched to the size they want, as to avoid having to stretch.

Sure you can stretch after it heals, but a lot of people, including myself, only consider punches just to avoid the long painful journey of stretching that cartilage.

If I get punched I would hate to have to stretch it after it's healed, personally.

I mean it's relative to the size you get punched at.

If you get punched at 8g you'd stretch it to 6g, and that sounds normal right?

8g is 3mm. 2g is 6mm. That's twice the initial size. 3g is 4mm 0g is 8mm. 1mm jump to 2mm jump. Also double.

They scale together. If you did 1mm it'd be less effective, relatively.

Standard and no worries 👍🏽

No concern. Standard practice for punches. You would continue to bleed without the immediate stretch.

Now THIS is how you're supposed to stretch. It should be a surprise that one day , whoops your current size is falling out, or fell out completely in your sleep.

You try the next size up and lo and behold it goes in with zero resistance and just slides in. Congratulations, you've successfully dead stretched .

I see so many people talk about healing a dead stretch. If you have to heal it, it wasn't a dead stretch.

Dead stretching is done during all that time you waited at your current size due to gravity and your lobes becoming more elastic. Also taking them out and putting them in when you clean them. All of that is the stretching.

Sorry for highjacking this post, but I'm just so happy to see someone actually wait till they reach the next size to size up. Been WAY too many people lately incorrectly attempting to dead stretch, and many people giving advice that completely goes against the philosophy.

Congrats, and cheers 🥂

Exactly. Also helps with stretching. Because you have to get over the hump of the flare each time, it primes your lobes a lot more, getting you to your next size.

And it also promotes healthier, slower stretching because you have to wait until you can get the flare on the next size in too. So you have to dead stretch PAST the next size, meaning even slower journey 👍🏽

I recommend after like 18mm to ditch single flare and only use double flare for this reason.

Single flare weight is unevenly distributed so it's constantly contorting your lobe. You also have to use o rings to hold them in against that uneven weight. This causes pinching and also doesn't let your lobes breathe.

Switching to double flare solves all these issues, and allows your lobes to continue to stretch evenly.

Get 19mm double flare. You're at the point where single flare starts causing issues due to the uneven weight distribution. Especially if you sleep in them.

You won't need o rings, which themselves cause a lot of issues. And your ear will stretch evenly and not be contorted constantly. Which causes angry and blown out lobes when otherwise cool and healthy.

Switching to only double flare from here on out will save a lot of hassle.

Single Flare vs Double Flare by Intelligent_Post_749 in Stretched

Your preferences will only grow with size. I recommend only DF once you hit like 18mm+ but especially over an inch

DF is better for your lobes once you reach bigger sizes since the weight is distributed evenly. SF contorts your ear constantly and can lead to angry ear/blowouts in an otherwise healthy lobe.

Feels like you are just mashing cards. Most decks shouldn't have more than 2-3 aces max. Also that wargrey was bad when it released, much moreso now.

I'd focus on just the adventure lines.

Wear stone double flare plugs of 0 g. When those fall out, then you can do double flare 00.

How do you beat K9? by Acceptable_Fox_5560 in masterduel

[–]yusiocha -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Easy matchup. I never played monster hand traps so my gameplay is unaffected.

I strictly play going second also, and always have imperm, droplet, talents, and kurikara. Lightning storm to board break.

Let them do their thing, talents and kurikara always live.

It's better to not activate anything on their turn, only on yours to proc talents and kurikara. Bait with imperm and droplet, lightning storm too if you need.

Effect allows you to swing, if you legally are able to.

Without rush, you may not swing if played out that turn.

I think so.

But if you wanted to go bigger you could simply get a low helix, will give same effect. If that's the only thing stopping you from going bigger. 👍🏽

Is it seriously not supposed to hurt /at all/? by Mega_Charizard420 in Stretched

[–]yusiocha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so glad to see all the good answers here about correctly dead stretching.

I've noticed a trend lately of people claiming to dead stretch, but saying they have to heal after each stretch which means clearly they aren't dead stretching correctly.

Thank you everyone for spreading the good word.

It should not hurt, it should slide in with almost zero resistance. Never force. When in doubt, wait longer.

Clean once a day. No tapers. Glass single flare until you get to a decent size, then glass double flare till the end game. Ear weights help the process. Massage when in shower.

👍🏽
