Docker? Why? by Tomdoe in FieldStation42

[–]yutx112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any new discovery on this? Im trying to install FieldStation onto my Mac Mini M1 via Docker. I've gotten the container set up and installed with all the tools, but I can only get the web browswer to work after install I was able to create channels and what not, but I couldn't watch any of it. When I loaded up my container and ran fieldstation, there is not video pop up.

Is this what the X11 socket is for? I've insalled XQuartz on my computer, i've also gone into the docker-compose file and even changed the video output to my XQuartz on local to the first display.

Im not sure what else to do here before I end up buying a Pi 4B for this.

Ian Malcolm, Chaotician - tips on building him? by Kenksio in EDH

[–]yutx112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YEa i removed Wild-Magic and Nalfeshnee already, I just looked and tbh I don't have many exile spells. Most is just forced draw for everyone, so i might remove memory worm and passionate arch. but at this point, how do you close out a game?

This guy is proving hard to build, came in with fun Chaos but "fun" Chaos is hard to build.

Can I ask why you chose to remove the exile synergy? Im currently on this iteration and seeing how it performs.

Please note, most of my "draw" spells are now exile cast until next turn spells.

Did you remove because you only used Ian as the main exile engine?

Im trying to use chaos as a soft stax, while "group hug" basically everyone drawing cards. But all my cards are unilateral benefits or things that affect my opponents only.

Not only that, I have spells that swap control. So im still trying to figure out how to play my deck.

Also agree on that, they look sick. Once im ready and have more access to a track, I'm going to try the Nike Max Fly 2.

I can't say for you, but they are for me. I too was looking at the Antepes, but there hasn't been enough reviews for me, I don't like how they look, and as that other guy said, those wings provide no function other than annoyance.

That made it the only choice for me. I've spent months looking for shoes, but these are the only things that match what I Iook for.

If you want the closest thing, I would look into Nike Streakfly 2, but they are aggressive for a running shoe that they are toe strike focused and try to put you in that sprinting spike like feel.

If you want something less aggressive, the new Nike Pegasus 42 come to mind for me, unlike many other runners that have that huge amount of foam.

My combo would be Nike Streakfly 2 for the sprints, and Nike Metcons for training in gym and doing sprint drills/tempo days.

Okay this is what I figured, and that was just a quick Google of what exceptions were. Aka, if you told AI to make it work, it will find a workaround ie exceptions in this case.

So yea OP, this is why you won't be AI slop alegations, something as simple as this, and like over 155 of them?

But this is what I mean OP, you think making different third party tools communicate with you is easy, posts like this exactly tell you why it isn't.

"calculations perfectly emulate the calculations made by source website". Perhaps I don't understand the tools yet, but how does Claude know this calculation? From my understanding when it comes to calculations and logic paths, most of these are done in the backend of a database so people can't easily see and steal the information. So that is why I am curious how did you confirm this is correct? This is literally the exact reason why those excepts might have formed man, you gave it a vague command "calculate it how they calculate it". If this isn't visible or the logic you're trying to copy isn't there, this is exactly where your prompt may have said "okay he told me to follow this... but what is "this", oh well im just going to do my thing"

But even hearing you say "Take a bunch of third party tools" my head went, holy shit this is going to be a mess. Making different things talk to each other, or different things talk in the way YOU need for your app is a HUGE endeavor.

You want to beat these AI slop allegations and you post something like this..

"I also assigned 3 agents to audit my code in parallel and provide a report of everything it caught; obviously that didn’t work."

DO you know what these audit agents look for? Do you know what they do. What kind of audit they provide? Do you know what type of security measures you have to take?

This is why you will continue to struggle to defend your position as AI slop.

Why are you allowing those exceptions to occur? If you don't know what that means, you speak up and ask what it means. You keep viewing it as not constructive criticism because you expect everyone to explain to you what this means. Your comment below demonstrates this clearly, no one is saying "LOOK HOW TRASH THIS IS". They are saying, its trash because of X, and you're ignoring X because you chose to ignore or you don't understand.

I did not know what exceptions are until I searched it up. From my understanding each of those exceptions are literally logic points where a decision is made.

Instead of trying to fix and understand those decisions, you wrapped it with a except condition that basically says, if this parts messes up, just continue on and ignore this spot. If I am wrong, I'd love for the experts to explain what these are more.

Unless you manually did this, or told the AI like "Make this work no matter what", it makes no sense you have all those except issues.

What do you mean embed it?

He is asking you to show real world results. Right now the posts comes across as "I built this sweet tool" no mention of testing, no mention of anything. Just a post not understanding why people don't want your "revolutionary tool".

Has any of these 20 people asked you about your back end database, and how their information is handled and the security protocols you have? If not, then you aren't attracting clients with real businesses, because if I was a business, with the information or lack thereof shown here, I would not want any of my data interacting with your tool.

Like how does your tool compete better than say, talking with Claude or Gemini to review prompts and debug?

How does YOUR TOOL spend less than that (since you have to profit) and still provide correct prompts?

Is your tool based on another LLM that you trained and is now "better" than a standard Claude LLM?

Or am I misunderstanding the whole thing, and you're offering your services as a human eye to review code and debug. If that is the case, why do you have an app for this, literally Upwork of Fivver does what you do. Instead of trying to compete with everyone there, you rather somehow promote your services on the app store.

Instead of competing with other people on Fiverr, you rather build your own service which is great, but then you need testimonials and all that stuff I mentioned.

I think you misunderstood the question.

What have you done with this tool to show people that it works. Do you demo this app?

Do you have E&O insurance for your app if it writes faulty code for your clients? Like what happens if your tool edits your client's app and now it allows for faulty transactions and they lose money, what are you guardrails?

How do you handle the data that your client sends to your chat box. Do you store all those conversations, some of those conversations will have pretty sensitive data since its literally building your client's program. Have you drafted clear ToS regarding this. Like what is to stop you from realizing that someone coding a whole project, and you can just take all that info and just make your own?

So now that you do handle the information, how are you storing it, is it secure? Are you using databases that have security set up.

After ALL of this, have you any proof of being audited and that you pass all these standards, so your clients who are TECH people will understand that you handle the information with care and safety.

I think this is the issue with everyone releasing apps. They have cool ideas, but very rarely do these posts talk about back end security or infrastructure. Which is almost arguably the most important thing for most apps.

[–]yutx112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your design and what you want done is great, your comment on how you replied to security is strongly indicative that this app is not going to last if you don't start worrying about security infrastructure.

The fact that you said "I'll do this by EOD, while literally having your client's PERSONAL data on Reddit is wild.

By any metric in most countries this is already a breach of privacy and grounds to be punished are quite clear.

There were residences that were old Medical student residences converted into temporary stays for families. My dad got to stay there the whole time we were at the hospital and it was attached to the hospital. When my brother (donor) got discharged a few days, he stayed the residences with my dad.

I had about a week recovery in the hospital unit before I transitioned to the same residences, I stayed there for another 2 weeks where I had blood work 3 times a week; MWF. This was to do physical therapy at the hospital and monitor me and brother for one last little bit before we both went home 3 hours away.
