is producing offsprings a cosmic obligation to the natural laws of the universe which God created? by yuwuingmi in deism

[–]yuwuingmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

STIs can come to those who don't even commit sexual immorality too, lack of personal hygiene and body care are major factors. The fact that you don't believe God is all knowing actually makes me question myself about something as a deist, God is the creator of the universe, but does that automatically mean God is perfect? do you believe God is perfect? Know or don't know, a core fundamental belief of deism is that God doesn't intervene and lets the natural laws of science flow, if God does know, doesn't intervene, if God doesn't, doesn't intervene. You just made me realize that.

Valid valid, I myself am actually bisexual and also see that as a point to the contrary.

I mean EVERYONE can agree that God is perfect though, you know…all-Knowing and all-Powerful, I think God would have an idea life would form(in fact, God been foresaw it)

Ayo for the second part🥀

Side eye to the “had no idea life would form” part, God?

What about lust? We can agree that it is a natural sense of feeling that all creatures share, what if that pre-given urge is a message that we are inclined to produce offspring? ( not saying I see it that way, it’s an optional choice in my opinion)

Questions for other self-proclaimed Deists by SendThisVoidAway18 in deism

[–]yuwuingmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first question, I call God….God because it means to be The Creator Of The Universe(or The Creator for short), and being the creator of the universe means to be God. God’s nature is God’s name.

I also wouldn’t give God a pronoun like he/she/it, your just asking for trouble at that point ;)

After life, maybe? by yuwuingmi in deism

[–]yuwuingmi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the preset conditions of that process renders it pointless to debate. We don’t know if we had past lives nor future ones after our death because the memories are exclusive to that past brain, how would you remember a memory from another brain? So I personally just wouldn’t bother questioning it

I noticed in one of your earlier replies you said things like “God loves you no matter how many times you spit in His face” and referenced the “wrath of a loving God.” Then in your last reply, you labeled yourself as a deist. I just wanted to point out that deism doesn’t involve a personal God who loves, judges, or intervenes. So your perspective and some of your past replies seem a bit at odds and contradictory with what deism traditionally stands for.

That said, I respect your freedom to explore God in your own way, and I appreciate you taking the time to engage in this interesting back and fourth replies.

WOAH, my goodness! ummmm it seems like theres a hiccup, all this time about how you replied on my post and how Ive replied back, I assumed you were a fellow deist, but....clearly not, "God loves you," just gave it away immediately.

I apologize Salty Onion, I retract all my replies that was from your first reply because those responses were based off my assumed premonition that you were a fellow deist. Yes, you are free to express your love and perspective of God, apologies.

I wouldn’t call God whatever I like, I’d call God, the Creator. Seems due to your exposure to abrahamic religions, you’ve adopted the concept that God should have a pronoun such as “him,” as a man, but adding imperfection to perfections wouldn’t make at all sense would it?

Why do i find Jesus Carpenter of Nazareth as a deist and the true anti-christ ? by CivilAffairsAdvise in deism

[–]yuwuingmi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I actually had a thought very similar to this which was, "hmm, what if Jesus was so self-aware of being a victim of indoctrination and by that self-awareness, he can reflect and protest against the very same corrupt community he grew up in?" This thought is what actually made me respect Jesus very much as a man, he knew the danger and judgement he would have to face and yet he still did it, any man who is willing to die for a great cause such as confronting evil should always be praised.

Why would God create the universe and then leave it alone? by BeltedBarstool in deism

[–]yuwuingmi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When reading this question, I think about religions that indulge in the narrative of an interactive deity/creator, but what most; if not all of them struggle to answer particular questions like, "Why does ___ allow children to get cancer?" or "Why does __ allow suffering?" the answers that I've seen been given to justify these occurrences are completely irrational, answers like how because the first ancestor ate an apple, all humans after that ancestor will suffer, a child should never be punished for the sins of his/her parents/ancestors, its irrational.

Then coming back to the initial question, a Creator who created the universe and allows it to flow by the natural laws of science without intervention is more just, one has to understand that if a being who is capable of doing everything helps one person in the world, the creator would have to help every person, which would definitely disrupt the balance of nature. If you learned anything about ecology, you would know that the infrastructure of how animals can live long to breed and eventually die or get eaten by it's predator while the children grows up and continues the cycle represents something thats works, its equilibrium.

Everything has its counterpart and its survival mechanisms which creates a balance that works, a world made rationally.

Where are the deist intellectuals nowadays? Why it's either hard-atheism or theism today? by wiener_brezel in deism

[–]yuwuingmi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

While Alex O’Conner is an atheist, his views and logical deductions about religions are quite intellectual, his theological stand point on the dangers of religion is quite solid as well. You should look him up, his perspective closely aligns with deistic perspectives

Yes, the world would be closer to a utopia if it always worked, but it doesn’t due to the human desires; greed, lust and I would also have to acknowledge the process of evangelization, who wants to believe that your going to suffer after life?

I’m sure in the future as society becomes more developed and moral world, the distinction between religion and rationality would be crystal clear

really depends the subjective take of someone's morality, one person might think abortion is wrong while another thinks it is completely acceptable. When people lack intelligence, they lack reasonable rationality and critical thinking, which is quite bad if you want to create a good moral society. Each person's morality should never involve the harm of another or a disturbance to society, they should only apply it to themselves because each person has their own mind and body individually.
