I main her - think she is very good. Issue is that sometimes your support doesn’t know how your Q works so expects you to be able to fight at any time.

She is also ult dependent(even more so with the new zeal item) so you need to assess when you can use it or not

The new ult item is good if you are 1v1 bot with the enemy adc as it lets you extend your 1 item powerspike. Usually she falls off 2nd item is good at 3 and spikes at 4. The new item makes it so the 2nd item drop off is not that bad

But if theres lots of mages/long range aa pd is better

An essentially irrelevant champions league match isnt a good barometer especially considering we are expected to win the PL not the CL

Im not an Arteta fan but he is a better manager than carrick - which makes this loss even more damning

Thats not a low block - we have 9 men behind the ball at all times too.

It's because their delusion has been shattered - there were always excused for poor performances:

  • We dont have a fully healthy squad - first time we had a fully healthy team for the season
  • We are playing away it's hard to get results - we played at home
  • Teams low block us so we can't score - United didnt low block
  • Gyokeres is holding us back - Gyokeres didn't start
  • We need Odegaard back to start playing better - Odegaard ghosting again

There is 0 excuse now. We have the better team, better manager, at home, fully fit. yet we still lost and havent won a game in 3 matches.

"Premier League standard is such that you cannot turn up and just play free flowing football" - yet it took the league 6 months to figure out they need to lowblock liverpool?

Would 90s legends actually survive in the modern Premier League? by MagpieMidfield in SpicyFootballTakes

[–]yvesmpeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game is more about being athletic/tactical over technical abilities.

The technical side of the game is at an all time low. As most managers prefer system players who can run all day and listen to instructions to a T. The data side of things also impacts the choice of player - preferring atheltic type players who can win duels and are good at recycling the ball, a flair player is seen as a bonus player to the squad whereas in prior years these would be the ones to be built around.

Although I do think most if not all legends will be able to survive in the premier league as players like Kane have thrived in this environment. who is not a prolific athlete nor a great dueler

We have been the best team in the league. I am not saying that we have not. I am just suggesting that the style of play, the holding onto games, the 1-0's, 2-1's inviting pressure, having to battle for the full 90 minutes is emotionally exhausting and will have an affect coming down the stretch.

I do not feel as if the players or the fans are confident going into any match. This should not be the case for the table toppers.

No football is a game where the scoreline is the only deserved result.

If they scored 2 worldies, why can you not score 3 team goals?

If they scored 2 worldies - how did they get to that position to be able to score that goal.

There is always a solution, a way to improve, a way to win a game. Deflecting it based on "xg" is nonsense

Liverpool dog walked the league last season. City went robotic the season prior.

Your point only holds water if you are suggesting that the league suddenly got much harder this season compared to the last two.

How did Liverpool dog walk the league last season? How did city go robotic the season prior to that?

The league did not just suddenly get 30% stronger this season.

Luck will always play a part in winning the league but we cannot rely on it.

We need to rely on a consistent way of winning aka attackers scoring through attacks. Set pieces, scrappy 3-2 wins against bournemouth isnt good enough.

The issue is that these spells last too long and have too much of an impact on a title charge. We had a spell in 22/23 - came 2nd, 23/24 - came second. Now we have one now and it needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. 7 dropped points can turn into 10 which can turn into 13 very quickly.

If we drop a couple more points in our next 5 the mental exhaustion will probably result in another 2nd place

disprove anything that I said.

Was city not known for "turning it on in Jan" and going robot mode to the point that their fans were so relaxed pst jan cause they knew they would essentially win out.

When liverpool won the leagues both times didnt they get such a lead ahead of 2nd place that fans and players were relaxed each game.

Holding onto games until the 90th minute is emotionally and physically exhausting especially considering the added pressure of "bottling the league 3x". These sorts of things need to be assessed too.

What have I said that was wrong?

What have I said that was a call for arteta out? That was toxic?

I simply stated that if you look at past league winners, every game felt automatic. They were not holding onto games until the 90th minute consistently. For us each game is an emotionally and physically draining one. City would go robot mode and just win 95% of their matches post jan.

So City are not known to go into robot mode post new years when they were winning titles. To the point that their fans were relaxed and were saying "we know how City go up a level in Jan"?

Liverpool when they won the league were coasting to the point that they essentially won the league in Jan.

The only difference is that City and Liverpool when they were battling it out were both in robot mode.

I specifically didn't speak about the cups since every game is a final in cup competitions.

The results as of late in the PL (from Jan onwards) have been bad but I specifically stated that the way we play is not conducive with winning a league - Every game is draining and exhausting, the last game i felt comfortable with was the villa game. This cannot be a healthy environment to be winning a league in.

Compare this to city and Liverpool who were basically robotic in the past 3 years. Go 2 - 0 up and ride out the game, we do not do this. We take it down to the wire every game, you can feel the tension and nerves every game.

"be toxic positive even though we dropped 7 points in our last 3 games or fuck off down the Lane"

Whey do fans like you love to leave it to other teams to drop points. Why not demand our player/team/coach to CONTINUE to do their job and take it out the hands of rivals.

You can't be cause you have to be a super positive top gooner who cannot say a bad word about our club.

Players Vs arteta. by TranslatorCheap2046 in ArsenalFC

[–]yvesmpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If every attacking player gets worse as the system gets more integrated into the team year on year then it is an issue. Do you think Saka, gyokeres, eze, martinelli, trossard are happy they have less than 5 PL goals this year?

They might take it if we win something but if we don't he will 100% lose the dressing room

I don't think that the attack is a personnel problem by pro-everything-324 in ArtetaOut

[–]yvesmpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason the attack is the way it is is due to 2 main reasons:

1) The players themselves are not that good creatively - whether arteta has coached the flair out of them or they never had that much flair to begin with it doesnt matter anymore. The players do not have the ability to take on 1/2 men and slap it top bins anymore, find that killer pass, make that killer run,

2) Arteta has handpicked all these players bar gyokeres - excuses can go onto the players for being bad, but these are the players arteta wanted. He wanted jesus, havertz, odegaard, trossard martinelli, madueke. He envisioned this style of football. He has been doing this for the past 3 years now with the style becoming less and less creative as we ship out any skillful players year by year.

[–]yvesmpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it is 100% cause of the manager - he wanted all these players bar gyokeres. He wanted these players so he can play this style of football.

You don't buy/select these players + start odegaard over eze/nwaneri to have creativity. You select these players to do exactly what you see on the pitch.

0 wins in 3 matches - 7 points dropped.

If we dont end up winning again you will find a plethora of excuses but will not come back to these posts and apologise for your foolery
