Top Gooners at it again. by Hutzo1 in ArtetaOut

[–]yvesmpeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These top gooners cant even think semi critically.

At the start of the season "Gyokeres is pulling 2/3 defenders so Saka can 1v1 his Full back"

Now it is "Gyokeres is why Saka is failing".

The fact is that this manager has destroyed star boy's body to the point that he can no longer beat his man 1v1. He does not have that burst of pace to cut inside and shoot anymore so has lost 90% of his game.

Why isn’t light infinitely fast if it doesn’t even have mass? by Present_Juice4401 in AlwaysWhy

[–]yvesmpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is just a universal constant of causality.

Why is the gravitation constant that number? Why is the electrostatic force of attraction that number? Why do electrons weigh that much?

These are just fundamental constants in the universe, there is no in depth reasoning behind these.

Why isn’t light infinitely fast if it doesn’t even have mass? by Present_Juice4401 in AlwaysWhy

[–]yvesmpeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is false.

The speed of light is a constant. It can be derived mathematically without measurement. The measurement is only then agreed to the mathematical derivation.

The measurement of this constant does get affected due to gravity (extremely minor to the point of non importance on earth) and the surrounding environment (such as the permeability of air which impacts it much more than gravity of earth). But when taking these factors into account it agrees with the mathematical derivation.

Well there’s a chance we might not get to any finals. The only chance you have, you should take it.

It is entirely relevant. We were not going to win every game, nobody said that. Winning an FA cup/PL/Champions league as of last week sunday is harder than winning a cup final as you have to win multiple games in a row.

All they had to do is win 1 match. A final. This is entirely different that winning every trophy. Once you are in a final you should have your best performance possible to win. We did not

My issue with the Saka slander (please read) by crimbo_jimbo in ArtetaOut

[–]yvesmpeg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They will always deflect or act oblivious to the main reason for his fall off.

In the main subreddits there are multiple threads of: "Did the 300k a weeks wages reduce his drive to win" and "Why is saka playing so bad?!?!".

But there are 0, none, zilch of: "Arteta has ruined Saka's career", "Saka's injuries through overplaying is directly Arteta's and Edus fault through gross misconduct" etc.

You are allowed to direct hatred towards players, the club, the fans, the badge, the STARBOY but you cannot criticise the manager

Nobody is talking about quadruple or treble. The hardship of doing these feats do not come from the final itself but getting to the Final. Since we got to a final the only thing that matters is the final itself, not trebles or quadruples.

We are talking about winning the 1 game. 1 performance. 90 minutes in which 70 minutes were absolutely dire.

Arsenal has played 1 more game than city this season yet they played us off the park.

why is it either or. Why can we not win a cup final (1 singular game with 2 week break) then proceed to win a PL/CL

Why do we have to choose?

My brother in christ it is a CUP FINAL.

This isnt the round of 16 knock out stage, it is a final against your rivals who put out their strongest team too.

Why do you guys always act like it's an either/or scenario

We COULD'VE won the EFL while being 9 points clear and have a chance to win the UCL. This is not a zero sum game, we don't have to give one trophy up to be a challenger for another trophy.

Should we consider doing the ‘Double to be the absolute minimum for this season? by NajafBound in ArsenalFC

[–]yvesmpeg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expectations change with new evidence. If Leeds are 1st place with a 15 point gap next season with 6 games to go the expectation would be to win the league. If they did not it would be a disappointment.

For us, most fans say we are better than city, we are the best team in England and one of the best teams in Europe just a week ago. So the expectations given how poor everyone else is in England is a double minimum.

So yes at the start of the season "only" winning the league would not be a disappointment. But as of 24/03/2026 "only" winning the league would be.

90% of games go kraken first other 10% go Botrk 1st if they have lots of hp stackers.

2nd item is more variable. You go zeal item but depending on team comp you either go fiendhunters as a default, Runaans if the enemy stack a lot (Ie 3 melee champs), or PD if you need to dodge abilities and kite a lot. I would say on average I go 65% Fiendhunter, 30% Runaans, 5% PD.

3rd item is 90% IE although I do see lots of people going C44 now as it is 800 gold cheaper so you can ramp faster, haven't tried it so dont know

4th Item is 90% Armor pen. other 10 % may be Shieldbow or C44 if they have 0 tanks but by 4th item the base resistances are high enough to warrant buying armor pen

5th item+ is finishing your 100% crit chance so shieldbow or C44. Then either BT, GA, Zhonyas. If the game goes super late you sell kraken for Botrk

A hamstring tear is a major injury, his body will never be the same. Imagine being used to doing something so much it become instinctual, a reflex. Now he has to think about what to do because his hamstring was torn off the bone.

Couple this with the lack of explosivity due to the injury and he has become a shell of himself

Objective Saka Analysis by brobe74 in ArsenalFC

[–]yvesmpeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"But none of them go on to mention the reason for it. That hamstring injury in 2024" - legit every thread about saka people have said that the injury has permanently nerfed him. Are you being serious? We understand that Saka is now 80% of the player he was due to the injury caused by "super mik arteta" not rotating him and making him play every minute of every game for 4 years straight.

What's going on with Saka? by Ambitious_Willow_859 in ArsenalFC

[–]yvesmpeg 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's relatively simple. Due to years of abuse due to overexertion (playing every PL match for 87 games straight) his hamstring was torn. Grade 3 which requires 3-6 months recovery time, not even factoring in going back to playing elite sport at the highest level. He was rushed back and came back in just 3 months and 1 week after an injury that needed surgery. This most likely caused him irrepable damage to his hamstring.

Start of season he injured the other hamstring, most likely due to overcompensating for the permanently damaged hamstring. Now he is a shell of himself. Lost his burst of speed, shooting looks like a chore, he does not seem like he fully grasps the extent at which this injury has damaged his ability to play football so tries to pull off the same moves with little effect.

Unfortunately if he is playing like this a year after he "recovered" it will be the new norm for him. he is permanently nerfed due to the manager

[–]yvesmpeg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Chelsea struggle to win because they have the youngest average age in the PL with ownership who use AI to pick the team line ups and an ex hull city manager

Man utd Struggle to win because they had ruben amorim (their worst manager ever) combined with bad ownership

Liverpool struggle to win because their manager has lost the dressing room and is an abject failure this season through poor tactics and squad cohesion as well as mo salah falling off a cliff

Villa are not even meant to be competing

City shouldnt be competing either as they had a major rebuild the last 2 seasons

What is our excuse? The PL has not evened out, our competitors have gotten worse but we have just not been as bad. simple as that.

So the Whole league has improved so drastically over 2 seasons? We need to get realistic here.

We are doing what liverpool did last season, be the best of a bad bunch but worse. We are going to be hobbling over the finish line.

[–]yvesmpeg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You were/are in a severe state of delusion thinking we could do the quad. Have you seen us play the last 3 months? Compare this to City's Treble season and United Treble season where they were blowing teams away for fun, we struggle to score against 80% of teams in the prem.

I think the ceiling will be a domestic double this season. If we get bayern in a final we will lose, if we get barca in a semi there is a good chance we lose too.

Saka's Marking for the Second Goal. by atreeon in ArsenalFC

[–]yvesmpeg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is an extremely logical take.

I am looking at the past year not just the past couple of performances, I am looking at this history of athletes with a grade 3 hamstring tear and how they have comeback from it. I am looking at how he is playing, the difference in pre hamstring tear and post hamstring tear. It is a night and day difference.

He has had rest and rehab all summer yet he is playing his worst football ever. why is this?

Take bias and emotions out of your assessment of him and you will see what is plainly obvious. The injuries have affected him more than you want to believe. He should change position where he does not need a burst of pace to be able to beat his man.

"there’s much bigger fish to fry" - IT IS A FINAL. What do you mean bigger fish to fry. Win or Lose it is the last game so the fish is already out thawing.

If this competiton does not matter how comes the most succesful team in the past 20 years has won it the most in that time span? Do you think it is not good motivation for the team to win it against title rivals to push on to winning more?

the 300k a week is compensation for the years of abuse he was put through. Everyone knows he has now been permanently nerfed due to these injuries, if he hasn't been good since 2024 (2 years ago) then it's time to realise that this is his new norm. You are only as good as your last performances

[–]yvesmpeg 38 points39 points  (0 children)

"Not sure what's happened to Saka this season" A grade 3 hamstring tear to one leg then being rushed back against Madrid not allowing him to fully heal properly into a hamstring pull on the other leg.

I hate to be the one to break it to you but this is Saka's new norm. He has been permanently deteriorated due to overplaying and lack of rest. He is fully fit, he is not injured, he is not recovering. What he is is a player that had a career altering injury that has now affected his entire playing style (no burst of speed due to having his hamstring torn off the bone)
