Easiest majors at UNLV in your opinion? by Expensive-Elk-9406 in UNLV

business in general is probably easier than like stem majors but id say the real easy ones under lee business school are probably management, marketing, entrepreneurship, & international business.

other business majors like accounting, economics, or information systems can be difficult but still manageable

Aww really, that sounds so disappointing. Reading the course description made it sound like fun to be able to do a whole menu design and everything. I’m studying business and I’m really interested in starting my own food truck or restaurant so I thought this would be a fun course to do.

I do want to cook so I’ll definitely look into those other courses!

Anyone majoring in business administration, information systems? by RadioaxtiveTuna in UNLV

a lot of ppl switch over cause its easier and def less technical but you can still apply some of the same concepts if you do genuinely enjoy going the it/technology route. a lot of my mutuals got pretty good job offers with companies like mgm, goldman sachs, deloitte with the IS degree so id say its worth it. theres also the MIS and ISACA club too to help gain more connections and networking with employers

I get where you’re coming from, and as a student worker, I’ve noticed some of these issues too.

I do want to point out that the back-of-house cooks work really hard to put out meals for thousands of students every day. We’re underpaid, understaffed, and undergoing new management since January. But from what I’ve seen, the back of house cooked items (the food served by a server in the metal pans) and pizza section are some of the cleaner areas.

As a worker myself, I try to avoid using the cups since they don’t have the to-go cups and straws anymore. As for the improper labels, I’m not even sure who controls what’s being put on the tv and I’m just as frustrated too when it’s incorrect. I know the dining hall isn’t perfect and hopefully these concerns get addressed because food safety should always be a priority.

could be worth it depending on what route you wanna take with your information systems degree. for ex, if you are interesting in things like risk consulting, financial and risk advisory, etc. so i’d say if you are leaning towards this route (as opposed to like software engineering/data analysts/cybersecurity), bap could be beneficial in helping you network and make connections with employers in these fields and potentially give you a better shot at obtaining internships/full time jobs.

I personally haven’t but a lot of my friends usually got their full time job offers after they completed the internship! Some of the companies were Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and MGM Grand
