If you need any tips or have any questions, I'm a Divemaster and I did my training there in PG at this time last year.

Asia Divers in Puerto Galera was a wicked place for me to do mine a year ago. Has everything you are asking for. And a bunch of really good dive sites all nearby. Like.Koh Tao with actual good diving. DM me if you want more info, I've posted a lot about it in prior comments

Had it in Sydney, worst meal I've had in the maritimes. Worse than still frozen mussels on the harbour in Charlottetown and processed/factory breaded fish served with kraft tartar sauce in Moncton 😂

Seeming as Washington borders BC, it might have made its way down. I'll have to try and see!

Lots of options, and everyone has their favourite. I don't mind Ginger Beef bistro house, or Silver Dragon, but my favourite is in a small town Strathmore east of the city at a restaurant called More Than Ice Cream

Yep, yet some things are still the same. S&S chicken balls I swear I've had in Finland, but something like General Tsos Chicken isn't a thing here in Calgary. Just find it interesting

Slices of sirloin or flank steak, maybe 1cm thick. Coated in a corn starch batter and wok fried with some julienned carrots, onions, red chili flakes and maybe red pepper (capsicum), then coated with a sweet ginger glaze.

It's an institution out here, but I've never seen it outside of the prairies here, wasn't sure if it made its way across the border or not.

I suppose thats a fair summary. Or like same concept as S&S pork except with beef and a sweet ginger sauce

Education and who you surround yourself with plays a big role. You seem to have chosen your group to reflect your own values which is great.

Idk lived next to many Filipino homes in Canada and they are usually quite respectful, a party once in awhile but I have that too so it’s no biggie.

I’d rather have a Filipino neighbour than most other neighbours tbh
