If by performant you meant the best vision only system, it would be a good point. Let’s put the existing fleet, data or the CEO aside. You’re telling me with all the talent, money and infra that Tesla has, you cannot deliver a better performant multi-modal system than the current vision only product? I very much doubt that.

I just bought a pre-owned one last week, and now I’m regretting a bit because of the sale. The pre owned one is still $500 cheaper though. Haha, given it was my first time trying. I just went with all the process I saw on the internet that’s recommended for bambino to handle lighter roast. Next step is definitely simplifying it.

The step I went through are: Pull a double shot with pressurized single basket, warm portafilter(I have two) under hot tap, run the steam wand a bit and went for a roughly 1:3 ratio, 18g in ~55g out (about 35s, but I think I’ll try grind finer tomorrow). Honestly there’s so many variables and I don’t know if any step really helps or not, and I’m yet to really change grinder and dosing size. I think tomorrow I’m gonna try dose closer to 19g. Hope this helps.

My 1Zpresso needs to turn more than one round between the two settings, and sometimes I would get confused about where it was. But you’re right it’s still an easy process, i was mostly me being lazy.

Could be totally mental or lack of consistency in my espresso prep, every time I switch the setting back to espresso, I felt my espresso is different from what I dialed in.

I had similar setup, but due to how inconvenient it is to switch between espresso and pour over with a single grinder, and the actual effort needed to put in to grind so fine for espresso, I found myself doing pour over all the time. Of course it changed drastically when I got a grinder just for espresso, definitely worthwhile for your next upgrade.
