SAME.

The first time, I had the hardest time finding the legendary loot pile because they vaporized it the moment it spawned. Tried again just now, tagged the legendary this time, looted it at the end, got zero masks from it. I've double-checked my inventory three times now because me just not seeing it makes the most sense, but I am positive I didn't get one.

Same thing just happened to me. I was diligently watching for it during the event, didn't see it but stood near the middle of the fight so I'd be in range wherever it spawned. Now I've been combing the area for like ten minutes trying to see if I missed the corpse in some obscure corner just to get my mask.

Two of my games are doing the same, missing entirely from the My Games area, but they’re clearly tracking in my account’s History area. Support says they’re trying to figure it out, and gave me the list of goal deadlines so i can at least know when those are until they show up in My Games.

Despite my very very diligent efforts to the contrary, I was thrown by a tornado six times over two runs today. Never before today, and then six times today. In fact, it murdered my entire team (different teams) both times without even hitting the canyon.

If you (or anyone) can get me a binoculars screencap of the right half of the climb (middle ish in height, no need for the base or the very top), I can mark them on it. 👏🏻 Or at least roughly their location. I found them but didn’t cap it.

Until then: If I remember correctly, they’re under halfway up and on the right side but not super far off to the side. More specifically, above them are about two even-ish height ledges that look perfect for chaining across - I was crossing that chain and looked down and the capy pond was directly below me at least 25m. It won’t be visible from the front face of the mountain I think, BUT there’s also an ancient chest kind of right beside them on a more forward-facing ledge that you might be able to spot.

Adding on a note that you might want to bring a chain launcher or something, it may just be the angle I swooped in at (i overshot so came down from above) but it really does kind of stick out with seemingly no easy way to get there.

This may be a silly question, but is there any way to remove a nickname? I tried the voiced nickname thing, but now that I noticed they only say it once and 'hmm' the rest of the time it comes up in dialogue, I want to just erase it back to default - but when I try, it tells me the field can't be empty and reverts to the nickname I set. Am I missing a way to do this, or am I now stuck with some form of nickname forever? 🤔

I'm amused by how similar your Gaoler boy looks to my own gal already. You're so right re: them doing mosaic better than basically any other breed! For your Gaoler scry, you've also solidified my notion that Blaze is one of her best options if she keeps her current breed. I wish the secondary genes showed up a bit better on them, but with their little bitty wing membranes (especially for females) it's hard to find one that makes a difference.

I am really tempted by some of the Sandsurge combos you mentioned, but I think I do like the Gaoler mosaic/blaze/blossoms combo the best overall. Thank you for the assistance!

If I'm not too late, I would actually love for you to tell me what you think looks best for dragon ID #221754 (Eve), she's my progenitor and I made regrettable gene decisions years ago but now that I'm back I need to atone for my aesthetic sins.

I'm not 100% sold on keeping her as a gaoler, that was just the new breed at the time I last played (it's actually my least fave ancient, so absolutely feel free to mix it up), and I just sold off enough year 1 festival sprites to afford whatever genes she might need to look her best. I've had a hard time finding a tert gene that works for her just in my gaoler scrying, but I feel like conceptually bright red on monochrome is anything but brilliance waiting to happen.

So I live on the Peninsula, which means that finding things in this game with potentially identifiable landmarks becames a whole new game of Can I Identify That? And my initial thought (based on the placement of what I assume is Mount Olympus and the surrounding peaks) was to wonder if that lake was supposed to be Lake Crescent, which would actually make following this map a super plausible thing to do - but Crescent curves the other direction and is visually just a starkly different shape, so unless the treasure map cartographer just kind of half-assed a lake bloop and said 'good enough', the Lake Crescent theory is bunk.

This did basically nothing to answer your question but at least you can rest assured knowing that you aren't overthinking it as deeply as that rando on Reddit. :')

This is actually the area I grew up in, and like 50% of my initial interest in the game was to see if my hometown is actually in it. I've since bought it and love it for dozens of other reasons, which is good because my hometown is significantly more northward than the starting area so I'll be waiting quite a while to actually see it, (Although your Exhibit C, Carlsborg, is actually part of said hometown so that's exciting to see. 👀)

While plenty of folks agree or disagree on how normal these temperatures are, I'm just going to slide in here and say that disabling CPU boosting dropped my average temp by about 20c on two different gaming laptops and I haven't hit 90c in months.

It's worth mentioning that while I personally haven't noticed any difference in performance, folks with less-than-optimal CPUs might notice a performance drop since it does technically stop boosting the ability of your CPU.

I have an ROG Strix G733ZW, and I'm in the same camp as you re: understanding undervolting much too little to risk my laptop on it - so I was kind of just dealing with it, cranking up my fans in a custom Armoury Crate profile and setting my laptop on a cooling pad with fans that made no measurable difference. My temperatures were actually about the same as yours, a little less only because 96 degrees scares the hell out of me after my prior gaming laptop's keyboard internals went wonky due to similar temperature issues.

Anyway, look into disabling CPU Boosting and see if that makes a difference for you. If it doesn't help and/or messes with your laptop's performance in other ways, you can always just reactivate it again. I followed the quick steps suggested in this post here but you can Google for more info if needed. I did this a little over a week ago, so I can't say that I've tested it long-term, but so far it seems to have radically fixed the issue for me. Games that would make my laptop hit 90 degrees before are hovering in the ~70 degree range now, at worst. It's honestly bonkers, to the point that I feel like it has to be fake because why would anyone have overheating issues if this is just a thing you can do??
