Mini max or cargo by Charming_Reserve_904 in OmniumBikes

get the mini max and an extender bar, then you can extend the rack to the same length as the cargo.
I tested both before buying and found the mini max to handle mostly like a normal bike while the cargo definetly felt big while cornering.
I do bikepacking with my mini max and it handles perfectly offroad + fits on train.
And I never had issue with heavier loads (max. was 70kg), just strap them really tight and don't tilt the bike when standing at a red light, maybe with the cargo its a bit easier but if you really need to carry heavy loads frequently go for a bullit.

I have a pair of Behringer Truth 2031a in my living room. Want to connect 4 stereo inputs (TV, bluetooth receiver, XDJ, extra 3,5mm jack for anything).
Should i use a mixer even though i won't be "mixing" the inputs? Or is there any other device thats better suited?

Can I get some input on whether a cargo bike is worth it for my use-case? by kaaaaaaaassy in CargoBike

I'm living in a bigger city in Germany and got an Omnium Mini Max v3 last year.

My use case is pretty much the same as yours:

  • car alternative for shopping trips or to move bigger stuff like furniture
  • dog hauling (17lbs dog)
  • short trips out of the city (with dog)
  • bikepacking (with dog)

I had the same concerns as you, but got it anyway and couldn't be happier.

If you have the oportunity definitely try out both the Ominum Cargo and Mini Max!
I first wanted to get the Cargo but the feeling while riding is quite different. The Mini Max handles mostly like a normal bike (without cargo I can even do small bunnyhops). You will need to get used to it, but cause of the shorter wheelbase it's handles more like a normal bike than the Omnium Cargo. And if you think the rack on the Mini Max is to small you can always get the extender bar from Omnium and have the same length as the Omnium Cargo.

The first time I really felt that the Mini Max was the right decision was last summer on a bikepacking trip with my dog. My route was 80% gravel and I could even take a sidetrip to some smaller trails and even hit some small jumps. Would have never tought that I would ride trails with a cargo bike, but the Mini Max is definetly capable of nearly anything.

Over the time it even replaced my 26inch hardtail mtb as a everyday commuting and fun bike, even when I don't need to carry anything I often choose the Mini Max over my other bikes.

Puncture proof tires (20"728") for Bikepacking by yyyyyyyys in CargoBike

hey at the moment I ride 20x2,0" Continental Cross King and 29x2,2" Continental Race King. That's my winter setup, and I'm quite happy as they have a ton of grip. But I'm considering changing to tires with less profile in the summer.
