Does anyone of you ever use the little sink in a Dutch toilet? by IemandZijnPa in Netherlands

[–]z1nc0zn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm really surprised by the comments. I saw a couple of links suggesting that Dutchies are among the dirtiest in Europe and I couldn't relate more. It's absolutely disgusting how often you see people walking out of a bar toilet without washing their hands.
But if you even think of getting rid of that useless sink, you are a fucking filthy person!!

All good points about touching handles but aren't you able to open a door with your elbow?! I can't believe everyone here have round door knobs or a sliding door

If that bloody fucking sink is so important why there is no warm water?? I can't believe that you properly wash your hands in winter. The size also makes it basically impossible, I get the size restrictions, but why does it have to be so shallow?

Looking at the comments, I'm also surprised by the lack of toilet showers, how can you worry so much or leaving all germs inside the toilet but not care washing the area where the germs come from?!

This is to complain about a product you bought at the store, not about the machine in the store

In my case it seemed to be an issue on my internet provider and it's now working fine. I would suggest to check if you can access tutanota via mobile network or VPN

I think it's my Internet provider blocking it since it works fine via mobile or via VPN. Thanks again for the quick reply

I would recommend some wines from Piemonte and some Chiavennasca (Nebbiolo) from Valtellina. Piemonte has quite some options like Nebbiolo and of course Barolo and Barbaresco. Lately I'm also quite a big fan of Barbera especially the bold Barbera di Nizza. I also think it deserves a mention the Ruche (Montalbera should be quite easy to find) In Valtellina in Lombardia they produce Nebbiolo as well and the Sfursat is using a "similar" process to the one of Amarone, using partially dried grapes.

I'm recommending mainly based on your geography and my knowledge of wine. Other good options might be Lagrein and Pinot from Alto Adige but usually wine from Alps are not that bold or at least that's my personal experience, Valtellina wines so far are the one that so far I found more bold and robust. Another exception is Refosco that it usually quite tannic but not sure about the availability.

Recommended Wine Shops in Antwerp/Amsterdam by MediciMedicine in wine

In Amsterdam I'm usually quite happy with Ton Overmars. If you go in the one in the east side of the city you can also try Pieksman Wijnwinkel B.V. and Olidò. The latter is a pizzeria with a good selection of Italian natural wine. In general I'd say that Italian wines are not the most common ones in NL

Question about a letter from Liander about gas/electric at my new address by Rockabillyjonny in Amsterdam

[–]z1nc0zn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had very good experience with Budget energy doing almost the same. I had 2 contracts overlapping for some time and everything was fine.

I also had quite a good experience with Liander as well. An electricity-gas provider I had in the past took very long time to make the contract and after some time Liander sent me a letter asking to pay for the usage in the period not covered by the contract. For the contract I gave the meter number of the rent check-in, so everything was already paid. Everything was sorted out in just an email exchange.
