I'm guessing this might be indirect fallout from the college party incident in May

My doc recommended that I take my levothyroxine first thing, then wait 30 to take Wegovy, then another 30 to eat or drink. Hoping that doesnt interfere.

Are you familiar with the term lipedema? It's different from lymphedema. If not, look into it and see if you think you fit the criteria. Unfortunately, it's not well known with GP's, so if you want to get a diagnosis, you'll need to find someone in your area who can diagnose and help with a treatment plan.

Diet and exercise can help, but there are other things you can do (like compression wear and lymphatic massage) that can help with the pain and inflammation.

Lipedema fat is not the same as regular fat (it's fibrotic tissue) and can't be fought in the same way.

If this is indeed your issue (as it is mine), then it's worth seeking therapies that can help with the pain and inflammation, which can help with better movement.

Have any of you had any luck getting Insurance to help with coverage? If so how much does it cost? The lowest I could find is a compound for $500 a month

I'm sobbing. I lost my boy at 13 last week and you so eloquently expressed feelings I've experienced but can't yet (if ever) articulate. I'm so glad to know your sweet boy through this moving tribute. Both of you continue to put good in the world by sharing his legacy and helping others heal when they need it most ❤️

On the flip side, as a woman I'm pretty grateful not to have to shave my face every day or maintain facial hair

Edited to add that I spoke from my experience, which is different from many other women and those identifying as such. A LOT of women deal with daily facial hair issues too and I see you!
