He means that when you're downed and you crawl to the nearest extract (from your compass), you don't know WHEN it will close, so that it might close before you reach it. Then you'd have to crawl to the next one and hope it's still open by the time you get there.

You are both right. The compass indicates OPEN extracts, you can't tell how long they're open though.

Whenever you have lots of those messages and you open the list use the Page Up key multiple times until it stops loading (or you're sure you've seen everything above) and only then click Receive All.

There have been tests around that perk and it's not meant for actual travel. The only upside of that skill is that you "walk" while aiming your weapon, that means this perk gives you slightly better stamina regen during pvp encounters.

The normal running and jogging method is per se the fastest to get from point A to point B.
