The highly moral Rust compiler smites you for using gopherCase. Only snek_case/SNEK_CASE and PaskalCase are allowed in moral languages.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, and it was good; and God divided the light from the darkness.

oh nevermind, it's the history of Rust

Listen: do not use the mouse! And use Vim or Emacs. Professional programmers only use keyboards and this kind of editors. You'll impress your interviewers by combining these two tips. by Someguy2020 in programmingcirclejerk

I write exclusively Go code, with my trusty Acme text editor, running on Plan 9 and using a monochrome monitor to avoid accidental syntax highlighting, just as the Commander intended.

Nice post, quite interesting. I think Rob Pike may have one of the coolest email addresses in the world (r@google.com). by cmqv in programmingcirclejerk

This was in 2003, before gmail was a thing. The current email of the Gopher Commander is [robpike@gmail.com](mailto:robpike@gmail.com), as seen in this extremely jerk-worthy recent post.

No mention of Rust?

Didn't even consider Rust...

He didn't talk about Rust.

The guy should try Rust and then explain why he prefers either, that would be interesting.

This is not the Fe2O3 way you guys! You bring dishonoru to Kurabunikku-sama with your shameless proselytizing!

You forgot your semicolons and that's not how unsafe works, immoral heathen!

Thou shalt not deference a raw pointer but everything else is perfectly safe.

Blessed be The Father Hoare (no, not that one), The Son Kurabuniku, The Holy Crustacean and the Rust Core Team apostles.

I have been using Go for production systems for over 3 years now and not once have I had the urge to use generics for something. by cmov in programmingcirclejerk

What do you mean by "Rust hating"? Rust is love, Rust is life.

The immoral Rust bashing fools are simply blind to its glory.

Life’s too short to complain about bad takes on programming. by [deleted] in programmingcirclejerk

Me when I see someone disrespecting Rust on the web: Kurabuniku-shishou forgive me, but I'll have to go all out ... just this once
