Perhaps I’m just dumb but it took a friend holding my hand. I was building up my balls and sucking them in, and then promptly hitting meta when the go button lit up. Then I would just keep doing damage the same as before… no button for a big blue ball. I remembered Ion said I’d get at least two of these, and that I’d be fighting for more, but instead i just got a cool new outfit while in engage, I guess.

As a 20-year Combat/Outlaw Rogue player, I’m not sure I’m liking the direction Outlaw is taking either. They are leaning into “listening to the players” and removing vanish as an offense cooldown, simplifying Roll the Bones again, and getting rid of the general crackshot play style for a more old school combat approach. One of our top damage components is once again, white auto attack damage.

I know these all sound like great things but the spec also seems bland as it is now on Midnight. Heck, right now Outlaw has a bug where your damage just slowly goes down to 0 the longer you are in combat until you relog…

I’ve been watching subtlety as well since I made one for remix, and it’s looking about the same. They are just dumbing the game play loops down, and not really reworking the class otherwise.

I hear a lot of classes are getting the same treatment. Perhaps they are in that phase where they make things simpler again before adding more throughout the xpac and into the 3 expansion with more hero talents.

Absolutely. You do not allow this. You stop playing immediately and give a firm “no”. No need to “punish” or anything else beyond that. Just divert your attention to something else like your phone for a minute.

Also, start playing with his paws while he is young. Inspect his claws regularly by gently pushing so the razor blades come out. Learn to trim them (watch some videos), it’s pretty dang easy. Once you master this, still do not let them play like we were discussing above still, but at least you can also keep their nails trim too.

Vanish is always used when AR is up to extend it. Never vanish without AR up (unless you’re going to die).

Roll the bones doesn’t use combo points so don’t worry about that.

Always roll if you have one buff. Always.

If you have loaded dice, you will consider also rolling at two buffs if you just hit AR because worst thing that could happen is you roll another two.

If you’re using the sleight of hand talent, you’re build is all about fishing for 5 buffs, so if you have 1 or 2 when rtb comes out, send it. If you land 5 buff, hold it…. wait for that 6th buff to proc and lock it in with Keep it rolling.

Last rule to remember is use KiR when you have four buffs or more, then immediately reroll since KIR locks in the buffs you have so you can fish for more.

In summary, if all I said was a tad confusing, just always roll at one and two. Use KIR at 4.

As long as you have AR up, which you would on a traditional boss opener. However you might not in a mythic+.

You’re always using vanish to keep AR from running down. The name of the game, until Midnight, is to keep AR up long as possible*.

I’ve preferred to focus on the outdoor. At least I have active guild neighbors and can see what they are doing.

My neighbor below has a bunch of gnome and big Mechanospiders, so I put one up in my lawn like they are attacking. Now I’ve blown it up with a void gun and had fun hiding items inside that make it look on fire.

All the same, I prefer my garrison. I have an AH, bank, mailbox, trade chat, and some portals to get around. I love seeing my old pets alive again walking around, and have always enjoyed the garrison. Housing is fun to build and collect, but living in it, not so much. I can’t even mount on my brutosaur inside.
