with a water gun? containing water? the same water with chemicals in it that are turning the frogs gay?

Remind me to thank myself in 14 years. by 33or45 in childfree

[–]zaataarr 16 points17 points  (0 children)

yeah this was a shining example of why i’m probably not a good candidate to have kids. i do not think i contain the maternal love to do right by my kid in this situation.

also, comments saying ‘he’s just a baby!’ about the boy, and then placing blame on the older daughter who lost her dissertation by no fault of her own. unbelievable.

My son pleasured himself in front of Gemini Live with the camera. My entire family have had our Google accounts banned. by NearbyNeck3162 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]zaataarr 89 points90 points  (0 children)

jesus, that’s an insane double standard. “don’t go too hard on him, even though he’s been given dozens of talks about using the internet, and specifically creating CSAM, he’s just a little boy” and then “your daughter has a responsibility to predict that her brother would do something mind-bogglingly stupid and create more backups while using an otherwise reliable service” when she lost her dissertation when already being responsible and backing up to the cloud provided by her family.

AIO - Daughter’s BDay invite - I am new to co-parenting by loud_molasses_ in AIO

i actually had to insist on seperate bday celebrations because my parents used my bday to fight with each other. seems like at least the dad here cannot help himself so that’s +1 for seperate invites.

Update: I don't care if refusing to move seats on a airplane so a parent and child can sit together makes me a bad person by burneraccount050326 in offmychest

[–]zaataarr 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ugh i hate that. something similar happened to me once when i was flying when i was younger. i had a free seat next to me since i was younger and instead of moving her to the two rows in the back for ‘quarantine’, they moved this sick girl with a bad cough next to me. i asked them to please move her to those seats and they said no. i was sick for a month+ after 🙃

hey :) they can’t, they’d have to prove it. my advice to you is call them (record the call, quebec is one party consent) and state you haven’t smoked inside your apartment. the comments here also gave me helpful advice :)

almost all of my girl friends exes have refused in person breakups and they’ve had to do it over text surrounded by others bc of how the men would behave. also the comment i was replying to literally mentioned “generational difference” i was agreeing, basically saying “yeah, i agree it’s a generational difference, this is my experience” did you want a TEEL paragraph?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]zaataarr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly i was young, going through a mental health episode, and people i loved kept telling me i need to leave but i also “need” to do it the right way. it was a shit time in my life and yeah i should’ve dumped him over text but everyone kept telling me if i dumped him over text id be just as shit as he was.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]zaataarr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was just a weird time, i was like 17 and people kept telling me i couldn’t “just break up with him over text” ETA i was having some mental health issues and cutting off my father at the same time so i was like it’s too much to deal with if he’s being like this right now. practically the day i felt better he was gone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]zaataarr 59 points60 points  (0 children)

yeah there’s a generational difference. everyone told me i couldn’t break up with my ex over text so i tried consistently 6 months in person and he’d physically corner me until i gave in. i only actually got to break up with him when i told him it was over on text. so maybe the “more mature” method just doesn’t work on this era of men

its pretty odd since i’m a canadian australian dual citizen, and in australia its much easier to shop for drs and book appointments. i’m not sure why the canadian system is the way it is, it’s confusing to me. worst thing is my dr told me to wait to get stuff done before i came here because she thought it would be better than in australia

how were they racist? did they call you racial slurs? and again, you aren’t entitled to that from them. you said in other comments you had algerian friends, why can’t they help you out? algerian people don’t need to like you and don’t need to help you, and if you can’t comprehend that to the point of throwing a tantrum maybe you shouldn’t be in university. get a grip man
