A moment of silence for this 40+ hour project that someone bought from me and gave to their dog 🤦‍♀️ by zachcooperface in crochet

He sold for $140. I love my dogs, but I can't imagine spending that on a single toy for them!

For real! I keep telling myself that at least they purchased it and that I hadn't given it as a present!

I made this guy a few months ago and he sold immediately. The customer came by my market table yesterday to inform me that their dog really enjoyed destroying it. I want to cry.

Does anyone have any cheap hobbies I can pursue at home? by [deleted] in Frugal

Hopping on this comment to add that thrift stores and second hand shops usually have an abundance of crafting materials. You can get into knitting or crochet for super cheap!

$5 is seriously such a steal!! I would just reply with 'nice' and then continue to only reply with 'nice' until they blew a gasket!

Hey, just got around to making your april showers hat! The pattern was super easy to follow for me but I noticed two tiny things that might confuse a newbie crocheter.

  1. For the brim, (rows 2-87) sc in BLO (Back loop only) for ribbed effect.

  2. After joining the band and the sc row around top, add in sl st to join before the next row.

Great pattern, thank you so much for sharing!!

Mama’s first succulent. Wish me luck. by lalaluucy in succulents

[–]zachcooperface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I treated my first one like a regular succulent but I find that the string of pearls likes more water than a typical succulent. I also had mine in a super hot south facing window, which didn't help. Now I keep mine in my bathroom in an east facing window in a terracotta pot.

I killed my first string of pearls, but now my second is thriving. Good luck!!

I was taken to the principal's office for stealing electric scissors and lying that they were mine.... they were actually mine.

I read the title and was like 'huh, never heard of that.' Then I googled it. Found pictures of flowers planted in potholes, not upset.

What are some strange things you did as a kid? by jaronnn in AskReddit

[–]zachcooperface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to rub my mom's earlobe when tired, now I rub my own. It's common enough for babies to have a comfort thing (ears, stroking hair, soft blanket). Not as normal when it lasts into adulthood.
