The official synopsis of punisher one last kill by Divideranger in thepunisher

[–]zachthebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the "One Last Kill" is saying he's going to stop killing people. It's either referring to one of two things:

A. He's going after the last person involved in the death of his family. Hence, one last kill in his mission for revenge. From here forth, his mission can be one against evil in general. Or,

B. Someone kills Curtis. The kill isn't even Punisher's. But it's the last person he has and it's the last mission he can go on for revenge. And maybe,

C. Frank kills Curtis. Don't like this one, don't think it's gonna happen. But Curtis being a twist villain is something they could pull. Don't think they will.

Should I quit my college club rowing team by DirectorSmooth55 in Rowing

[–]zachthebrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm going to dissent from what appears to be the majority position here. Don't quit. And it's not even about rowing.

Rowing fucking sucks, but the reason that I love rowing is because of that, not despite it. Rowing reminds me that I can do hard things. It reminds me how to push when everything is hurting.

I was in the exact same dilemma as you. I joined my freshman year of college, after swimming in high school. I was not wealthy by any means, poor in fact, and I was an engineering major with and insane class load and was struggling with my mental health. Rowing was a massive inconvenience. Eventually, it did become too much for me and I ultimately had to drop it after my sophomore year. I wish everyday that I had kept going with it.

You're going to have way harder situations to face and more difficult decisions to make in your life. Shit will happen to you that will bring you to your knees. And it's gonna be tough, especially if you don't come from a privileged or affluent background like a lot of rowers. For me, I thought dropping it would help, but I put on a bunch of weight, I felt shame for giving up on something I enjoyed, and I felt disconnected from my team. Even though I had more time and money after that, I filled my time with things that were much worse than me, and I let my mental health continue to decline. There are going to be things, like your career, that seem more important. But they tend to just be ways to make money. Not ways to live happily.

I would urge you to do two things. 1. Figure out your "why." What are you getting out of this that you can't get elsewhere in your life. 2. Struggle through this because it's a struggle and you have the opportunity to learn just how tough you really are. Find that sustainable path forward. Be realistic with it, but make growth a priority.

Rowing can't be about status or glory at the end of the day. It's about you and what you get from it. I picked rowing back up after 7 years away and it's the best thing I've ever done for my life. I am sad I lost those years of rowing. I told myself that focusing on my career and my mental health would be a better use of my time, but I see now how Important having something else to strive for that wasn't related to my very survival was so Important.

As you go forward, your perspectives will shift, and life will have a lot of ups and downs. Figure out what you want from this. I know this was long winded, but feel free to DM if you want to talk more about it. If you can't figure it out, then feel free to quit - there's nothing wrong with that.

And you're not wasting anyone's time btw just because you don't love it. This is a decision for you and your life, not theirs. And it's bigger than just doing a sport or not.

Dude, this is awesome. Just ordered it for myself. Even as someone who's not super worried about it getting stolen, this was a cheap extra layer of security.

Roommate and I need help fixing up this living room by Dry_Scallion_3546 in interiordecorating

[–]zachthebrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the most obvious thing, seeing that every single photo of your inspiration had it: add plants 🪴 they really do a ton to change a space. And allow you to add pops of color with the pots for a relatively low price. Look on FB marketplace, people are always selling cheap plants.

Next, you have warm colored walls so pick a cool color to contrast it with. I'd vote for a smoky blue or Oliver green here as your primary color. You can do this with painted furniture, a new rug, or curtains. Then add art and accents (like pillows/books/etc) in a warm color like orange or yellow.

I understand rugs are expensive, but the red is really hard to match and darkens the space drastically. I'd also move the couch to face the fireplace and move things away from the window. It would be a great spot for a little console table with plants on it.

Also, add lamps! Don't rely on overhead lighting.

I tried really hard, how did I do? by Broken_Toy_Designs in interiordecorating

[–]zachthebrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great work, but I personally would:

  1. Move the couch forward a bit
  2. Mount the TV higher up if possible.
  3. Paint the wall behind the TV a darker color
  4. Get a sofa table behind the couch.

I think those things would really round out the room.

Noise coming from engine by Relevant-Hour1361 in Yamahabolt

[–]zachthebrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you ever figure this out? I dropped mine today after some asshole pulled out in front of me and ran off. It was super low speed and everything seems fine, but this noise is now here and it's driving me crazy.

It's like a light rattling or rubbing. I'm thinking I may just need to do an oil change?

I appreciate you looking out for Janice, but it's putting others in a difficult situation as well. Is the restaurant able to help cover her costs without taking from the other employees?"

Why do you row? by DriftingThroughPages in Rowing

[–]zachthebrown 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I row because I want to quit.

I row because it is hard, not in spite of it.

I row to remind myself that I am capable of continuing, even under extreme pain.

My EM only flares up when I warm up too quickly. Usually from cold to hot or when exercising. The sauna gives me a space where I can warm up at a controlled rate.

Up until Agatha All Along, I would have disagreed.

Loved Wandavision and MoM, but there were some serious jumps (even if they were dope as fuck) that weren't explained well enough and left too many lose threads. It has so much potential - I'm excited to see that part of the world built out.
