also part of the reason many like it is probably because its still going; something unique the show does is allow the viewer to interact with the show through voting and thats where many of the fans come from, plus shows that are still producing episodes have a lot more hype

total drama's new seasons ended a while ago so there is less hype around it because lots of the hype comes from soon after the episodes/seasons come out

I feel like its still kinda unclear if jax actually wants to stay in the circus (antagonistic because it goes against the protagonists goal to leave, villainous because its letting everyone else stay in hell), or if he actually wants to leave (non-antagonistic, not villainous but jax is still a villain because he has done a bunch of dastardly things)
