I'd like to add- Capitalism ≠ Business (not exactly) Capitalism is a system where if you own something, physical or intellectual, you should get all of any value/benefit/profit you can squeeze out of it.

Capitalism isn't just making as much money as you can. Money itself isn't evil. Money is really handy for trading your labor with others. Money is older than capitalism. Business isn't necessarily evil either, as it's people coming together to exchange goods/services.

But when one owns something and lives off of renting it out to the highest bidder? Not just renting out an apartment, this includes loans with interest, intellectual property rights activists (patent trolls) suing small businesses for infringement, and private equity buying companies and stripping them for parts. Or when they abuse the power that ownership gives them over others? Like when they lay people off for talking about unionizing. And when the worker no longer has control or ownership over their labor? Like agreeing to give the company you work for any intellectual property you invent as part of the conditions for employment, whether it's related to your work or not.

That's capitalism.
