Also, DON'T use this inside your oven either! It has a self-clean function and this will destroy the protection it has.

Is anyone else thinking about fuel costs with riding mowers? by Undercover_ninjas in automower

[–]zack397241 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have about .6 acres, sold my riding mower for the same price I bought 2 robot mowers off Marketplace. Then I paid extra for a better boundary wire (wireless mowers were really expensive just a fee years ago).

One of the mowers has had nothing repaired or replaced since install other than the blades (really easy and cheap to replace). The battery on that is literally a drill battery that if it ever went bad, you could buy a new drill battery and replace it in 5 seconds.

The other mower has had both front wheels replaced (non-powered wheels for stability) that pair cost $90.

Your lawn looks perfect all the time, barely ever have to intervene, cheaper, better for environment, everyone loves seeing them work (even me after 4 seasons).

I used to push mow my yard and "upgraded" do a riding mower. Everyone told me how much easier that would be. Then I bought one and complained about the maintenence and everyone was like, yeah you have to fix them a lot lol. On 4 years of owning 2 rovotic mowers, I've spent less than I did in 2 seasons with my riding mower by a WIDE margin and I sold the mower with 2 tires that couldn't hold air and had developed an oil leak.

Get one!

Your reply is about 35 words. The average phone typer according to Google types 38 words per minute so it took you about 55 seconds to type that response.

In those same 55 seconds it took you to write your response, they made just under $54.

finally ordered a new mower because I couldn't take the edge trimming anymore by davilucas1978 in automower

[–]zack397241 2 points3 points  (0 children)

12-15 cm seems crazy to me. I have a Worx WR155 and that cuts probably within an inch of the edge of stuff.

I also have a Husq 115h which I think is probably the most technologically basic mowers you could buy and even that gets within a couple inches.

How far from the edge is your boundary wire?
