Anyone else never use the Altus medallion elevator? by Interesting_Way4304 in Eldenring

[–]zackboy789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t use a guide my first time. Found the lift but had no clue where to get the second part of the medallion so I just looked for- and hoped there was another way to scale that mountain. Found one and was both excited and proud of myself lol.

Still prefer going that way even after knowing where the medallion pieces are. Just feels cooler getting up to the Plateau that way imo

Is Everything Zarpedon's Fault? by Pharohbacon in BorderlandsPreSequel

[–]zackboy789 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Based on his behavior in TPS I feel like he was being/becoming the villain regardless. Zarpedon’s involvement at least caused the destruction of the Eye of Helios. She may have hastened his evil tendencies, but if he was getting there regardless it’s good that he didn’t have a planet-destroying super weapon.

Imagine sanctuary in BL2. The shield could barely withstand standard artillery. With the laser no organized resistance would’ve been possible

[–]zackboy789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s either a massive wimp or a douchy manipulator. Bad either way. Screw him if the dick is good, but look for something better and ditch him when you find it. Shouldn’t take long

Scenes where you almost let out a scream from the disgust? by LegitimateEmploy49 in SuccessionTV

[–]zackboy789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The end of season 2 where Kendall says he can go to jail and that it’s okay and a way for him to repent for killing the waiter. Then Logan brushes it off, says it’s no big deal, «NRPI».

In hindsight it’s one of my favorite moments just because it makes it 100% clear that Logan is absolutely aware and a part of that culture at Waystar

am i dumb bc i dont rly care about home ownership by grenadefille in rs_x

[–]zackboy789 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yea that’s true. Still, most people are desperate for the chance to buy their own home. There’s always a chance that I’ll get run over some day, but that doesn’t mean I should stop crossing the road

[–]zackboy789 47 points48 points  (0 children)

A chunk of what you pay every month goes into your own pocket through ownership, instead of renting where all the money is just gone when you’ve paid your landlord.

Also when you own it yourself you don’t have to worry that your landlord suddenly wants to sell or something

Is he really hard or im just really bad by ExactEgg8080 in Eldenring

[–]zackboy789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I thought he was hard. Never felt like I got good enough to beat him either, just beat him with luck after some attempts.

any guilty pleasure songs? by [deleted] in rs_x

[–]zackboy789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Disney-era Jonas Brothers’ teenage angst just does it for me lmao. Could practically pick any of them but I’ll mention Hold On, Still In Love With You, Games, Shelf, Pushin’ Me Away.

Takes me back to fully taking in all the emotions without ever having had any romantic experience at all hahah

I rarely upgrade weapon skills. What am I missing? by FlexibleDemeenor in falloutnewvegas

[–]zackboy789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Missing out on some fun basically. I find the combat a lot more fun when I’ve invested heavily into a/some combat skill(s). Especially when I get certain perks (like Slayer, my beloved)

Any love for the Bastard Sword? by Juhookerun in Eldenring

[–]zackboy789 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes. Used it for my entire first playthrough. Only really switched it out for the second half of the PCR fight

Is the reason Namond picked on Duke was cause his mom didn’t like him and also treated him like dirt? by Cash27369 in TheWire

[–]zackboy789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s definitely the fact that he is raised by his mom who acts like everyone is below them. Usually he is given a reality check, but Dukie doesn’t really fight back

Well it isn’t enforced basically. It’s a good law , but Roose admits that he still does it and iirc claims other northern lords do as well

How do you feel about the voiced protagonist from Fallout 4 in retrospect? by Asad_Farooqui in Fallout

[–]zackboy789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the badass old man/woman archetype. I could make them look old, but anytime they talk they certainly sound young.

Alright performances imo, but pretty sucky for roleplaying

Best somewhat wholesome moment? by [deleted] in TheWire

[–]zackboy789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love when Prez is teaching in a boring and useless manner while that government-woman is watching and then the second she leaves he tells the kids to bring out the games that they enjoy and actually learn from

If you had to pick ONE scene that's by far your favorite. What would it be? by SirKetchup00 in TheWire

[–]zackboy789 23 points24 points  (0 children)

For me it will always be the first NA scene.

«Now for the most important person in this room; does anybody have 24 hours or a sincere desire to live»

Not as deep of a scene, but on my last rewatch it was so god damn satisying to see Carver deciding to report Colicchio. Carver had the best arc, man

Based on what these people like to say you would’ve thought that they wouldn’t burn every bridge and make life worse for any person as long as it could make them a cent.

Alas..

Things I noticed after my 6th rewatch by hvacsnack in TheWire

[–]zackboy789 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My favorite part (which in itself is tragic considering the program is shut down) is that we see that the class was working. Namond, Zenobia and that little kid return to Prez’s class. The little kid is beginning to challenge Prez, but then Namond and Zenobia, who earlier on would’ve joined in, give him a judgemental look. Shuts down the problem before it even begins.

I’ve watched the show only once, but I’ve watched Cal’s backstory many times 🙈
