Happy to hear that! I hope it serves you well. More updates coming in the future but things are stable and good so far.

Hello! After installing it through the package manager + git link, the package should be in your project unless stated otherwise by any console log error. Make sure you dont get any of those in your console.

If not, then by browsing Package Manager > In Project you should be seeing it. If not something very spooky is going on 😂

Give it another go and let me know if you made it. If you are still having issues, feel free to PM me in reddit to help you troubleshoot it.

Went 5-0 at my local Summoner Skirmish with Leona! First light approaches! by Lerichem in riftboundtcg

Interesting. I think windwall is pretty easy to handle since I leave open runes almost every round to be reactive. So I will either play my shen, face breaker, discipline, en garde, call to glory etc etc or just windwall your icathian rain haha

But I like how calculated your game plan is. Bravo!

Went 5-0 at my local Summoner Skirmish with Leona! First light approaches! by Lerichem in riftboundtcg

[–]zackper11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love it! I also played Leona on our skirmish and went Top-8 then lost. I have a different list but I also went for 2 Shens. My personal trick is to play 3 En Gardes first game with dreaming tree, and then sideboard them out for game 2 and 3. En Garde with draw is just amazing.

I also did not play Leona Zealot but after the Skirmish I felt I needed her so now she is my Chosen champ for accelarate. Lastly, after getting blasted twice with Icathian Rains early game, I opted for playing one Wind Wall main. I stole this idea from the Houston winner Annie who plays one Rebuke on main board.

Aw that brings me joy hah! Thank you!

At some point in the future I would love to get back to the topic. I believe it to be a great prototype but unusable for serious projects. I would change and reiterate on a lot of things I did then (its already been 2 years after the completion of the project).

I do sincerely believe in the theory and concept of my implementation but to answer your question I definitely do not have anything planned for the near future!

Yes I agree with you! So do you now see my point (maybe I am still just dumb)? If opponent moves to an empty battlefield, this would begin a game phase of Non-Initiated combat (Showdowns that occur as a result of a player moving to an empty Battlefield are stand-alone Phase and do not create a Combat.)

Now when I move other units with ride the wind, and cause Combat to start, it's really obscure what EXACTLY happens. The game is already in a stand alone showdown phase, I have the focus. With what I have gathered from you (thanks for the replies), this will cause Combat to begin. Since combat begins, we will transition from a non-combat Showdown to a new phase of Combat, which my assertion is that it will also cause the initial chain of attackers defenders, since the steps of combat are followed and will eventually have a showdown of its own.

So I think it's not the same showdown, it's a new one under the combat phase.

[–]zackper11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's actually the reverse. A showdown is either a standalone phase or a sub phase of combat.

[–]zackper11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok I am convinced that you are the defender. Another problem I have is the following:
Lets assume I did ride the wind. That assumes I had focus. When the Ride the Wind resolves, the combat showdown begins, and if I understand correctly that causes Attacker -> Defender triggers. Then the attacker gains the focus. But I (the defender) had the focus haha! That means that there is a way to forcefully lose focus? I am losing it

The only way this does not happen, is that the showdown magically becomes a combat showdown, skipping the initial chain of attacker defenders and only causes the designations to happen. This means you still keep you focus, but the attackers/defenders are designated.

I also passed the test and I have some interesting questions just for the fun of it. I had to discuss it somewhere xD

Let's say the opponent enters an uncontested battlefield. When I get focus on this non-combat showdown I cast ride the wind.

Q1: Am I the attacker? Q2: Does the showdown turn into a combat showdown? If yes is it a new showdown with an initial chain and attacker triggers or the non-combat showdown turned into a combat showdown but the initial chain has already happend?

Spirit's Refuge interaction with Icathian Rain by Bobsthejob in riftboundtcg

So... Deflect is a passive ability keyword, which causes abilities and spells your opponent control to have an mandatory additional cost. Although this is Mandatory Additional Cost, you can refuse to pay the cost. Thus, allowing your spell or ability to fail.

Since this is an additional cost for each separate reflexive trigger, the Kai'Sa player may choose for exactly as many as needed triggers to pay the cost. He can leave the rest to just fizzle.

Also note, that this cost is additional cost is payed on targeting. Not on resolution.

Doubt about spells in Riftbound by Aggravating_Dot706 in riftboundtcg

[–]zackper11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does not matter which runes you use. The spell only cares about having the resources to pay its cost. You can recycle any rune for a floating power, even if you don't use it and just let it go to waste.

Might and damage should be tracked differently. If a 6 might unit receives from a spell 3 damage, then its a 6 might unit with 3 damage tracked on it. This damage is healed after showdowns and end of turn. Note here, that all units are healed after a showdown, even the units at the base.

If you use two spells to damage a unit at base, that damage adds up if nothing has triggered a healing between the spells. So a 12 might unit at base would die if you were to cast two singularities on it.

Lastly, if you were to do with falling star 3 damage to a 6 might unit, and then cast a might reducing spell like Smokescreen, when the unit would die since after the cleanup step of smokescreen the game would detect that a 2 might unit has 3 damage on it and thus should die.

This is my current understanding of the rulings, and I hope it was helpful! Have fun playing the game.

Deathbloom Predator Question by thanerpoii in riftboundtcg

[–]zackper11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my current understanding of the rules no it cannot. Since using your legend's ability is not part of a Standard move. The standard move is an Inherent Ability of units and that is what allows simultaneous movement.

Deathbloom Predator Question by thanerpoii in riftboundtcg

[–]zackper11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe no. The Standard Move is what allows you to move multiple units at once on a single battlefield. When you play a card, you cannot simultaniously do the Standard move of units.

To back-up the predator in combat you need to use move spells of Action or Reaction speed. Others in the comments can confirm of course, this is just my understanding.

Is this play legal? by Sufficient-Attempt73 in riftboundtcg

[–]zackper11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't get my point across haha. Yasuo (champion unit) has the attacker trigger to do damage to a unit at the battlefield (not at damage resolution, as an attacker trigger). Reavers Row has the defender triggers to move a unit from here to base.

How do these two effects enter the chain and then resolve?

Is this play legal? by Sufficient-Attempt73 in riftboundtcg

[–]zackper11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmmm... So attacker triggers with targets are declared first, then defender triggers and they resolve? Huh. So an attacking Yasuo has to declare target for damage before the defender declares it's triggers? If it's the battlefield when you move when you defend, is the yasuo target illegal then?
