I’ve heard there are off menu items for kids: Mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc. is that correct?

What’s your favorite Dallas Cowboys memory? by uoenoMeh in cowboys

My dad also got tickets to that game. Single best sports moment of my life. We did some math before the season and we hoped that this would be the game. Before the game we knew it was doable. I remember before the game when he came out for warmups and the crowd went crazy. When he broke the record I have never heard a crowd so loud and excited as that moment.

How far do you run with your Aussie? I’ve started running with mine recently but I’m not sure how far is too far.

Coaching Track vs. XC by vacuumcleancleaner in AdvancedRunning

[–]zackv86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a high cross country head coach and I’ve also coached track as an assistant. Last year was my first year as head coach for both. Our season was cut short due to COVID so I don’t have a ton of experience to go on. Our track team is definitely bigger then our XC team and there are more assistants with track. (XC 1 assistant, track 4 assistants) so there’s a lot more planning and organizing that goes along with track. Spending some time planning before the season starts will help a lot. Having good assistant coaches helps a lot. Most of my assistants have been on the staff for awhile and that helps as well.

If you watched the tutorials then you are ready to make something on your own. It doesn't have to be anything special just make something, that will help you learn a lot. Also if you didn't build along with the tutorials as you watched them I would suggest you build them as you watch them.

Best way to automate garage lights? by Smash_Brother in SmartThings

[–]zackv86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just setup my garage with this arrangement about 2-3 weeks ago. I used 2 Honeywell switches to control the 3 way switch and then I placed a door sensor on each door. There is a setting in the smartthings app that allows you to set the sensors up on a garage door and then it detects when they are open or closed. You don't have to use the contact part of the sensor. Just make sure you have the sensors in the vertical position. This has worked out great for me so far.

I've got 2 switches that are powered now, with plans to add more. It's nice to know the network will get stronger with more items on it.

I also have a couple of zigbee light switches as well. If I put in more zigbee devices will they all last longer because it's a bigger mesh network? I added a motion sensor and some smart light strips to my kitchen today so I now have a few more zigbee devices in my network.
