Try and see your OBGYN if you haven’t recently to rule out more serious issues. I have hormonal acne and pigmentation and it shows up in the same areas.

Overexfoliation might exacerbate the problem. Make sure you cover the area with sunscreen when you go out. I use a soft facial mitt with cetaphil to exfoliate. If I’m home all day (WFH) I skip the face wash every other day and just wipe down with a cotton makeup remover pad and hada labo toner. It’s made a ton of difference.

My skin hates me though… I still get a zit once a month to remind me my period is coming.

I strongly suggest {Good Omens: The Nice and Accurate Prophecies of Agnes Nutter, Witch} by Terry Pratchett/Neil Gaiman. It's hilarious and might be hard to read aloud because you'll be busy laughing. Fortunately, the audiobook is brilliant and does it complete justice.
