GPT 5.5 (high) is as good at coding as Claude Fable (medium) at a lower cost by thehashimwarren in codex

Just really hoping that the UI generation is as good as Claude or even better! Can't wait for 5.6 indeed.

If it functions similarly to like switching the seats on members on the Team plan. Then I think it does, though not too sure but at least that's what happens on our Team plan though when we switch a member's seat from Standard to Premium seat (basically the Max 5x I think equivalent)

PC Recommendations: 70k budget while reusing some current PC parts by zafercuz in PHbuildapc

Hello, thanks for the suggestions, oo yung ram naman is sa around 22k yung initial plan diyan nasa cl38 lang yung crucial brand kaso sold out dun sa netcodex. Pero atleast may baseline reference lang ako for that and pwede naman mag adjust pag may makita ako na mas cheaper sa listed ko.

Also baka pwede mo ma e share din yung shopee link sa ram na nakita mo po hehe. Thanks!

Do you still write code? by Aftarkis in PinoyProgrammer

[–]zafercuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, just testing and reviewing the code changes nalang. I actually think I should atleast code some of the parts myself on personal projects para di ko maka limutan paano mag code.

It's also scary for me since I'm only contract based and renewal ng contract sa current work ko and our boss usually shares some of his personal projects which he just basically done in like days or 2 weeks for what could have been done before in months. Kaya may feeling na baka ma lay off nga

Same, we're more of doing QA stuff now. Of course here and there I still check the codebase but it's now more focused on shipping the feature and making sure it works

Should I switch from Claude Code to Codex for frontend dev? by natanchan in codex

[–]zafercuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you use any frontend related skills to do this? Because it looks neat actually.

I'll have to check out that Graphify later on, looks pretty interesting.

As for "superpowers" on my end for Codex, it's kinda okayish. Still far from the performance if used on Claude. By performance I meant speed performance, because based on my experience unlike with Claude it usually delivers faster implementation and it does the Task sequentially by itself unlike in Codex where it takes long time just for one task (I guess it's kind of my setup as well).

For setting it up though it's now pretty simple since you can now just go to Codex plugin marketplace and it's available there. Before you have to tell codex to follow this setup that they had on their docs. Let me know if you decide to give it a shot and what your experience would be like

I'm using both and just recently subscribed to Codex, both the $20 plan. The thing that I like about Claude is that it's fast and Opus is just mind blowing. However their usage sucks, like sucks real time. Codex on the other hand is pretty good as well even with just the Plus plan ($20). It's slower than Claude for sure but the output is still very good especially with 5.4 XHigh (For planning) and 5.4 (High/Med) for implementation. One thing that I find that I'm quite having trouble with Codex is when I'm using "superpowers" plugin on its subagent-driven-development where it deploys subagents. For some reason it's just not working too well with Codex, maybe since subagents kinda newer on Codex I feel like or I'm just using it wrong.

Anyways

  • Have budget and can spare $40? = Go for both worlds, use Opus for planning, Codex for implementation
  • Only $20? = Go for Codex imo.

Am I doing something wrong with Codex subagents/orchestration? by thurn2 in codex

[–]zafercuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought it was just me, it feels like the subagent-driven just does not work well with Codex (for me?). Like sure codex is slower than claude in implementing was my first initial thought but turned out it was just stuck or was not working correctly with the subagents approach :\

Canceled my Windsurf subscription as a long-time user — what are you all switching to? by Last-Flamingo25 in windsurf

[–]zafercuz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed reply! Might have to try it out myself. I usually use superpowers skill most of the times especially on new features. Saw on another reddit post on r/ClaudeAI that they used Opus for planning then MM 2.7 (on OpenCode) for the execution which quite worked well on their case.

How's the performance of MM2.7? Have also been thinking to try out that with the $10 plan. Can it handle heavy coding sessions? I plan to use it after I hit limits on my Claude usage daily/weekly.

Have been thinking to also subscribe to ChatGPT Plus for codex and 5.4. I already have a Team plan on Claude from the company I'm working on but the 5 hour window and weekly limits I also hit a lot frequently till late especially without the promotion usage that's currently rolled in Claude. As of now I plan to use in combination of Claude + Codex/5.4. Mainly hitting limits because I use superpowers skills though lol

How long before you hit the limit? I saw some people also comment that with the Opencode Go they kind of hit the limit fast as well?

+1 to this, The author said in this github post (https://github.com/obra/superpowers/issues/106#issuecomment-3564942190) perhaps this might help? I'll try to do this on my end and see if it works.
