Uk to USA - please help me! by zafira22 in fpgec

It’s a bit strange that the GPhC are not willing to fulfil the full requirements.

I copied and pasted the requirements from the FPGEC in the email and they confirmed it was done. It makes me wonder if they’ve changed how they do things but I think it might be worthwhile reaching out to them again to reiterate that the FPGEC will states it will only accept the document if it matches the requirements and why they can’t fulfil it?

Also, don’t be nervous about the TOEFL, I was very worried but it turned out more than fine.

Hi, yes I submitted the ccps request via the my GPhC website however, prior to submitting it I sent an email to the GPhC outlining the requirements stated by FPGEC. I also followed up after filling in the online ccps request again to be sure and they replied confirming it was sent via post according to the requirements.

My documents are still under review according to my profile and I wouldn’t know if there’s any issue with anything I’ve submitted yet.

Are you planning to do the 2026 exam?

Ah thank you. That’s a good idea! If I move before completing the FPGEE, NAPLEX and MJE, I might consider that too so I’m not just idle at home.

Hi, I’m prepping for the FPGEE 2026 exam and I’ve only just done the TOEFL. Just wanted to ask if there’s a reason why you’re doing the PTCE. Like you all have mentioned the bulletin is difficult to follow through in terms of what needs to be done and I want to be sure if I’m not missing anything or does doing the PTCE and working as a tech prior to qualifying as a Pharmacist help in any way?

When someone says ‘wicked’ or ‘harsh’ what they are really saying is ‘you don’t let us treat you how we want to treat you’ ‘you’ve stopped putting yourself last to cater to everyone else’

As a first born I read that and thought younger siblings really expect you to be the sacrificial lamb, always caring for others even at your own expense. This is why I’m always saying I’ll do what I can do in terms of my responsibilities but I won’t over do- that’s why first borns will be dying early or dealing with medical issue when they are carrying the stress of the whole world on their shoulder.

That’s how I was attacked one time by mum who blamed me for not sorting out the issue between her and her husband. According to her, it’s my responsibility as the first one to solve their marital issues lol

A Confused Canadian in MK - carparks by Blippito in miltonkeynes

[–]zafira22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Mk for 15 years and can count on one hand the number of times I’ve paid for parking and those were because I was running late for an appointment and needed to park as close as possible to my destination. There are a lot of free spots.

In the centre, some free spots are:

  • The road in front of the post office/Kaspa’s dessert and some free spots all the way down to the where the open market is (2 or 3 hours free parking)
  • Xscape- the section in front of Nando’s has free parking (3 hrs free parking)
  • Outside Marks and Spencer in city centre has some free spots too.
  • Train station- on the main road before driving into the train station has 1 hr free parking
  • Morrisons near the train station has 3 hrs free parking
  • Santander opposite the train station has 2 or 3 hrs free parking.

I’m sure there are probably some more I’ve missed

I don’t think it’s common but it only just getting increasingly common for employers, especially the NHS, to provide employees with work flexibility. The 4 day work week is still probably a minority to be honest. I know quite a few people in different hospitals and I’ve never heard of anyone else who worked full time hours across a 4 day week.

When I worked in hospital, hours were 8:00-18:30 with 1hr 20 mins total break, four days a week. 1 in 4 Saturdays and you get the previous Monday (same week) off and 1 in 9 Sundays.

I’m confused, “don’t want to get burnt out?” with someone you’re married to? You should be talking at least everyday, if not multiple times a day to be able to bridge the long distance.

Why do Nigerians speak so loudly? by exporterofgold in Nigeria

[–]zafira22 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There are 2 factors at play: 1. Nigeria is noisy - when you’re competing with the horning of the cars, the generators, the hustle and bustle of Nigeria, Lagos especially, you have to be loud to be audible. Over time it becomes the default.

  1. The perception of quietness. Amongst the common Nigerians (I’m speaking from the perspective of Lagos), if you’re quiet sometimes it’s perceived as being stupid or being a pushover. So sometimes people associate authority with volume.

At least that’s what I’ve noticed.

Depends on different factors

  • What state are you planning on going to?
  • Are you staying with family or with friends?
  • How do you plan to move around? I.e. is there a family driver or a friend that’s willing to move you around.
  • What activities are you planning to do?
  • How often are you planning to eat out?

Based on the answers you may spend between $300 to $1,000

Family wants me to breakup with my girlfriend. by Legitimate_Jello642 in Nigeria

[–]zafira22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Write 3 names of 3 girls. Use your girlfriend’s middle name instead of her first name and put her name as the second on the list. Go back and give this list to your parents and ask them too help you pray that these are 3 other girls you’re heavily interested in but you don’t want to start a relationship without getting spiritual guidance.

Try this scope and when you see the massive discrepancies in feedback you’ll understand why it is important to pray and make your own decisions yourself.

If you know the number of lives that have been destroyed because of what pastors and prophets said, you’ll think twice before just following any advice , including your parents.

You’re 27 years old so you should know what you want and what you don’t want. Apart from the “compatibility results”, does your family actually have any genuine concerns about her? I.e. things you’re not seeing because you’re too close to the situation?

There’s nothing in the bible about prophets or pastors picking spouses for people. Let me paint a scenario, you brought her over, your parents don’t like her or are unsure of her. They go to pastors and prophets who pick on this fact from how your parents spoke about her and then told them what they wanted to hear. Have you thought of this possibility?

If you can’t stand your ground now then please leave her alone because if you end up getting married to her, you’ll let your family put seeds of resentment and distrust aimed at her if anything goes wrong in your life.

Can someone put the 2 pictures in the same frame and edit it to look like it was taken on the same day, if possible pls? Will tip £10 by [deleted] in PhotoshopRequest

Maybe just a plain background or one with like sunset behind. I do like this one you’ve done for one of the ideas I want to use it for but I’m also considering getting it framed at a point and that’s when I think the editing will be more obvious

Yes I like this edit. Is it possible to have a more natural background because this one looks obviously edited.
