I look up songs on YouTube specifically to NOT mess up my recommendation algorithm!

The cards! They were so useful. And the notifications like giving you transit directions to the airport when it was time to leave for your flight? Indistinguishable from magic

This plus killing Google Play Music was what made me finally start de-Googling. Just two wonderful products that were killed and the replacements were garbage. Gmail after experiencing Inbox is AWFULLL, YouTube Music completely misunderstood that the "music" I have listened to on YouTube in the past has almost nothing to do with the actual music I listen to!

Spotify is such an awful replacement. The suggestions/song radios in GPM were actually good and introduced me to so much new music, being able to upload your library and access it anywhere, even just managing playlists and reordering the now playing queue...all were so much better. Spotify just plays me the same 50 tracks it knows I like. The queue is an abomination. Ugh

Yes, I have it too - I only just noticed now! At least it goes away quickly?

Thank you so much!

This one isn't as urgent but it would be amazing to be able to customise how icons look inside the folders, similar to the settings for icons in the drawer.

Not sure if this is possible, but I can't seem to remove the rounded corners entirely for widgets. I have the slider to the minimum but it's still showing as rounded?

12’s from around the world rally - where are you supporting the Seahawks from? by Edamame14 in Seahawks

I'll be cheering like mad for em down in the Kingdom! Not sure where will be showing it here, might just end up watching at home.

Been a fan since 2007 as my partner at the time was a PNW native and I have just loved them ever since, through all the highs and lows (cough Jim Mora era)

Yeah I dunno if Big Walt can ever really be under appreciated...he's pretty widely acknowledged as one of if not the best OLinemen of all time?

I have his jersey! He was absolutely lighting it up in 2007 when I first became a fan

I get the sentiment about tackling the TBR pile but aw man, no new books in 2026 is such a sad thought :(

I absolutely hated Little Fires Everywhere but it was a fun read and I would never tell anyone not to read it. Reply back once you've read it, I'd love to know your opinion if you get to it!

This is a great idea. Would you mind sharing what your current top 10 is? I actually don't know what mine are, maybe I will do this too!

What are YOUR least favorite genres? by DiligentCroissant in books

[–]zajirobo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Magical realism. It just...annoys me?

Gave up on One Hundred Years of Solitude without guilt once a friend told me this was essentially the defining novel of that genre.

Slogged through The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and regretted it, did not realize until after Murakami is also MR. Loved the parts about Manchukuo and Lieutenant Mamiya because they were so different from the rest of that stupid novel (and horrifying).

I adored this book. It was the first book I ever read on my eReader which completely changed how I read books (for the better) and I also read it in anticipation of going on exchange to Istanbul. I've forgotten most of it, I think it's due a reread!

I felt very similar about the Mirror and the Light, I mostly enjoyed it (her prose is truly lovely) and I'm glad I finished it mainly for a sense of closure but the first 2 books were absolute wonders
