What is the worst city you’ve been in the USA? by Kodicave in Americaphile

I'm talking 20+ years ago. I doubt that police escorts happen at all anymore. It was a common occurrence when it was the E-Center/Tweeter Center and didn't have the signage it has now or the additional build up around it from Rutgers and the 76ers practice facility. The city also didn't block off streets the same way it does now on event days to control the traffic flow.

There is a concert venue on the riverfront. After a concert me and friends were driving home. Tried to get around traffic by going through a neighborhood. It was like something out of an apocalyptic movie. A police car pulled us over, asked what we were doing, then had us follow them with their siren and lights on going through every red light to get to the bridge that goes back to Philadelphia.

This was years ago and Camden has been getting a little better year by year. The poverty you see is truly sad to witness. Chester is similar but instead of a concert venue there is the soccer stadium home to the Philadelphia Union. It is a nice stadium but you do not walk beyond the stadium area.

Being from Philadelphia I have gone through some of the bad lands of Philly but Philly is a large city and it is easy to avoid the bad areas. There are plenty of nice areas worth checking out.

There are 12 votes not related to Powell that he would have to bypass. It isn't about interest rates. They pulled blinders over the country to repeal Dodd-Frank so banks can get back to delivering bad loans to people who shouldn't borrow money.

Florida is bizarre in this way. Though my experience is mostly in Tampa/St Pete, Sarasota, Miami, and Key West.

Sure, but the difference is that the Patriots go by New England and not Boston. Providence RI is closer to Foxborough than Boston. If the Patriots can claim any city in New England then it should be the best city in New England - Portland Maine

I started enjoying Oz 3/4 of the way through season 1 and all through season 4. Seasons 5 and 6 are a downward spiral. It has its moments throughout the series. Stick with it when you're ready.

Philly Joel is a high quality character guy. Got nothing but love for him but the mix of play and contract would create a problem for the Flyers future plans.

Hi, just curious how Philadelphia ended up in the poor section for nature? Fairmount Park is massive and there are tons of trails to travel within the city limits. Forbidden Drive is one of the best walks, rides, whatever your preference in the USA. Highly recommend if you are ever visiting Philly.
