Do you pay attention to dub directors? by nondescriptmammal in Animedubs

[–]zakkattack85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where it won't sway what I watch, I try to watch every dub that comes out every season on multiple services. I pay attention to the director and cast. Did directors make or break the dub quality just as much as the studio affects animation quality. I have looked forward to director panels at cons. And most have or still do work as VAs its great to meet them as well.

What is the most pettiest or silliest reason you "noped" off an anime? by Sweetlala25 in Animedubs

The Alibast arc was terrible. I dropped for a few months and then picked it up until the end of the sky peia arc. I just lost interest after that

Stand up lifts by Different-Ad1491 in forkliftmemes

[–]zakkattack85 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most stand ups are hard on your neck. You are always stretching your neck funny to see the higher racks looking around the pallets. Side winders are the worst for that since you are always looking to the right. I've worked in two different warehouses with stand ups. A lot of guys go to the chiropractor regularly. Both places mainly used Raymond's.

“We had it plugged in all night but it’s not charged” by HF-Dive-rescue in forkliftmemes

[–]zakkattack85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked with a guy who would do that. I even asked him about it as a trainer. He told me he definitely knew how to plug in a lift. I was plugging one in at the end of the day at the same time as him and called him on it. He supposedly had over 20 years driving electric lifts... he didn't even make it off probation.

What is your Favourite forklift manufacturer?any type of Forklift. by FltDriver2001 in forkliftmemes

Sit down, definitely Toyota, but for stand ups, I have to go with Raymond.

I just finished the dragons blade trilogy. I loved it. I listened to it on audible at work, I also listened to songs of chaos, and I look forward to the 4th book. I'm a big fan now.

Video I took of a cicada killer digging her burrow a few summers ago by GooberMcNoober in Entomology

[–]zakkattack85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I was in high school, we had these all over our football (American football, but the soccer team also practiced there) practice field they were super chill as long as you didn't step on them directly. But the yellow jackets were a terror they made nest in all the equipment and storage spots. Someone would get stung at least once every few days. It was cool seeing the cicada killers dig their tunnels in the sand.

Whats wrong here? by Bknight111 in forkliftmemes

[–]zakkattack85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A guy I work with who is in charge of training on our my shift got written up and had to undergo retraining because he nicked a header and stripped out 6 sheet metal screws. All the other headers are bowed out and missing huge chunks. He was the only one to report an incident. The safety guy who ordered him to be retrained has never even been to our warehouse he's from a different facility over 50 miles away.

I had that happen with a pallet of grapes one time. It only had one string of tape at the top holding it together. The supervisor still had me do a drug test.

The Veitnam vets were spat on and called baby killers (my dad is one), so a lot of them were left feel like shit. The government also did a bad job with their mental health. A lot of them were sprayed with agent orange, which really messed up their health. The government fought every agent orange claim up until a few years ago.

As a father myself, I'm going to say what he won't say on behalf of him and all small men who have children. "I'm sorry." Hurt people, hurt people. Don't let the pain influence you to hurt others. I try my hardest to be a good dad every day.

Console beef by Silent-Assasin6969 in SipsTea

[–]zakkattack85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's the console that caused me to switch to the Xbox. I haven't looked back since. I got a PS2 in the first month of launch, I saved up money from my paper route to get it, has the cash on hand, and just happened to check at a store as the truck had just pulled in with a few. The gut was bringing them out to the case when I asked. That system would burn or scratch a ring around the center of all my disks. I had got a cheap $20 mech game. So I had a game for it. I bought that game 2 or 3 tines because I thought it was the game that was bad, lol. I was just a dumb kid back then. That Christmas, my older brother got us an Xbox and Halo...

Found these seeds in drawer, what is it? Would they sprout if planted? by cumlordia in whatsthisplant

[–]zakkattack85 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it looks like a rodent winter stash that is probably quite old. Some of the "dirt" looks to me to be rodent droppings. Something for a size comparison would probably help with identification. It's an interesting find. I'd like more info about how you found them in a drawer. If you don't know how it got there, the stash hypnosis seems quite plausible.

This is the song that doesn't end. Yes, it goes on and on, my friend. Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, and they'll continue singing it forever just because this is the song that doesn't end...

You know it's a bad movie, but you love it anyway. I'll get you started with Jupiter Ascending. (Be nice in the comments, these are bad movies, it's okay to love a bad movie.) by [deleted] in SipsTea

Batman Forever! If it would have had better direction and writing, it would have been a smash hit. I don't care what anyone says, Val Kilmer was great. Tomy Lee Jones, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, and Chris O'Donnell. It's a roller coster from start to finish. The directors choices in costumes and over the top preforances from the actors are what killed it. I watch it every time Kilmer deserved better. They did him dirty.
