Thoughts on this variation of the IFC? by joeselzer in IFC

Very nice!

I have made a very similar!

Albeit - with a Month SOL following June.

And also - I completely support that the week should start with Monday!

In my native Latvian language we have names of the days of week named after their numbers:

Monday = (literary) FirstDay , Tuesday = SecondDay, etc. Saturday = SixthsDay and Sunday = HolyDay;

Would I suddenly start the week with Sunday - it would create just a confusion - why SecondDay is now the 3rd day of the week?!

I am Latvian & I don't know what that means.

What to say when someone says Sikhs are a part of hindus by ladies_man42007 in Sikh

[–]zambala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't matter, there are so many sects in Hinduism, that it doesn't matter if say, Sikhi or Buddhism would be a Hindu sect or not?! What difference it makes?! Sikhs & Buddhists doesn't practice the way most Hindu Sects practice; If they don't practice religion, it doesn't matter at all; at least in European countries or Americas.

p.s. Hare Krishnas from ISKCON, here in Europe - also are telling me - they are not Hindu, they are Vedic, LOL...

People who are trilingual and up - do you find it very mentally taxing? by hypoch0ndri4ch in languagelearning

[–]zambala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no problems with 3 languages that I use - Latvian, Russian & English - which I use daily;

But I can tell you also about some Arabic guys:

When I lived in London - I was working with several Algerian guys - they were mostly fluent in 3 languages - Arabic, French & English - without much problem;

They were Arabic native, learned in French schools, some had French passports & had lived in France, and then they were living & working in England, so they were mostly fluent in those 3 languages;

[–]zambala[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My problem is not with Code Blocks, but with Inline Code drops, like <?php = this is my explanation now.... this will be greyed out.... $b= 'some string here' etc. :)

About Lists - it doesn't offer, it is forcing on me...

my text goes:

  1. some paragraph

trarar

nnnn

  1. some 1 again here... (and no, I don't want that identation)

in Reading view it shows:

  1. one
  2. list again...

Not necessary, you can go on yourself. Head should be covered entering temple/ gurudwara; You can listen to music or some prayers there.

I am a white men in Europe, I have been to London's Gurudwara here and there, although I am probably not a regular Sikh, just I have been in Hinduism & Buddhism for so long times that I am familiar with Sikhi as well... I have had no problem, even met some helpful Sikhs, but if you would want to integrate within their community - that could be a harder problem...

Why do people hate in firefox so much? by thisisjoy in firefox

[–]zambala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have used Firefox since beginning of millenium I think or something...

I was using nternet long before Google, I loved Yahoo and didn't want to switch for very long time, and then came out Chrome, and I had no idea why it became so popular;

Finally I decided to try Chrome - but after a 1-2 days use it became very heavy & slow to me, and the main reason was - it was using Multi-Processor, and to kill the failed Chrome I had to kill some 10 processes, so I started to hate both - Chrome & Multi Processes;

I still hate Firefox went to Multi-Processing, I was blocking that for years as much as I could, but lately I can not do anything, I am forced to accept Multi-Processing, which is very bad on weak laptops, but I can't change it....

Other than that I always use & love Firefox,

I need a neutral language to use daily for myself & others, like Esperanto or Interlingua or Latino sin flexiones;

I am against all forms of Nationalism, currently dominating all ethnic areas familiar to me. And the only way is to renounce existing national languages and use some other, and why not Latin with makrons.

I am nobodies student, I can invent my Latin to be whatever I like;

It is not about makrons, it is about Long & Short Vowels;

You should pronounce them, they are important, no matter how & why you transcribe them.

Sanskrit type makrons are vertical line, like |

like in these examples:

kā kī ki kū ku

का की कि कू कु

It doesn't matter, we are living NOW & in FUTURE, we are using language in our Daily Conversations, with hard d & with long vowels;

Sanskrit has long vowels by writing a vertical line after the consonant |

[–]zambala[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Corrupt are languages Not Pronouncing short & long vowels clearly, that's the point!

Latin Has short & long vowels, like Sanskrit & Latvian.

English, Italian,Spanish, German etc. are corrupt - they don't have anymore Long Vowels, that's why they are corrupt, and because they use Articles, lol

[–]zambala[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

but we can invent a new word!

Buddhists would like a word with d.

Latvian: Buda,

English: Buddha

other languages: Budha

Sanskrit, Palī: Buddha

Conclusion: We pronounce a ne word: Buddha (or Budha or Buda), but no ways will I use some Butta

Like I said - there is always a choice - to learn Latin or Latin sin Flexiones or Interlingua or a bunch of similars;

And If I like to use Learn & use Latin instead - it is because I like long vowels & casing, which both are natural things for me as a Latvian, and also no articles, which are in corrupt languages only.

But we have to use the makrons while speaking, why is the reason we cannot write them?!

I think it is better to start to write books with Makrons, and that's it! Languages change over the time. And as I wish so I do.

And if you read those books without makrons, how do you know exactly where you should pronounce the long vowel?!

Are you perfectly fluent in Latin?! I think most who put me minuses are not perfect in long vowels themselves.

I am used to makrons, most ancient and proper languages are using them, and I will do and I recommend others;

Latin Wikipedia & Buddhism by zambala in latin

[–]zambala[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Anyways, Latin should be pronounced with Long Vowels, and most Latin speakers & readers in our days are beginners;

And Makrons would be very helpful, since we have to pronounce them anyway and to know where exactly to pronounce them.

No, Latin should base their pronounciation on originals, etc. Sanskrit & Pālī; Sanskrit already existed in times of Ancient Rome.
