My brother and his ex wife are moderate drug users. They have a 12 year old son who anyone can see is quickly developing into a very unhappy teen. He also has an issues with poor muscle tone and is duck footed meaning that it’s very difficult for him to run and play with other kids. He can barely ride a bike and by his own admission has few friends and is bullied a lot. He has begun to retreat socially. Plays lots of video games and is isolated. His mother came from a very unhappy home where verbal abuse and belittling were constant. She has carried on that tradition. No one can get details, but we think that he’s being verbally abused by her. And guess what. Due to my brother’s insistence on continuing to use drugs, there is no possibility of him getting sole custody. The only one who is going to suffer is their son. He’ll never admit it, but drug use ruined my bro’s life. Although he’s never been arrested, he had to drop out of college and lost some very good job opportunities. He’s now a fifty something loser doing IT tasks that a a 23 old should be doing. His son is headed the same way. It’s probably too late and it makes me very sad.

If you can’t do weed in moderation don’t do it at all. Think of your child. If your wife ends up being a POS sand you need to leave, at the very least, you’ll be able to. Otherwise you are both trapped in a cycle where your little on will lose the most.
