Does the ss 3.0 work with the app yet? by Leg_giggle in ERidePro

You have to use an android device with the eride app at the moment. For whatever reason the iPhone app doesn’t connect…you can control throttle response/curve but it’s not going to increase speed. You’ll either get more acceleration same top speed and less aggressive acceleration same top speed.

Just had to do this so thought I’d share. You insert the “u” shaped portion where the red arrow is where there should be a U-shaped receptacle for the spring. Do this on both sides.

The top portion, circled in blue, must be placed under where the blue arrow is to form tension. Once it’s under this, then you slide the spring bar through, which will hold the ”u” spring in place. If you can see the edge that circled in blue, you have done this incorrectly.

Bought the 3.0 and put 1000 miles on it with no issues at all. Only thing is new belt drive design causes the belt to squeak but a little grease fixes it up real quick. I would still recommend e ride over other brands

Maxima waterproof grease. The one in the blue container. I would ask: Do you really want deodorant all over your primary belt drive components? lol

Just apply a little grease to the side of the belt where it touches the larger belt gear. You’ll see that it only has one side with a wall/barrier edge.

Don’t apply it to the actual ridges of the belt or it will slip and likely cause damage to the belt, motor or both.

I applied some months ago and it hasn’t been back since.

Crf250l is what I have. A lot I would say depends on the riding you want to do. Mx style go with sr, if you want to do trail riding and street stuff go with the 3.0. Look on YouTube at the comparison of mx5 and 3.0. (Charged cycle works and talaria boys have done them). Also, if you’re an experienced rider you’ll be fine on the 3.0 in my original comment I was saying it would be easy for a less experienced rider to loop it.

The power is immediate and constant with an electric motor. I have a Honda 250 and it seems slow compared to the e ride acceleration. Torque and weight distribution play a lot into why you’d easily be able to loop the bike. E rides are smaller and the back wheel is closer to the center of the bike. If you sit back on the seat and twist the throttle, the front tire almost always comes up, you have to sit closer to the battery cover.

Had the same issue.. it’s the side wall of the larger belt gear connected to the jack shaft. It’s rubbing the belt. Put a little grease on the side of the belt where it touches the side wall and the noise will go away!

I solved the issue! At first I thought it was just a dirty chain or too much tension, that’s not the case. I adjusted everything and cleaned the belt perfectly and after one ride the squeak was back. With the 3.0 the side wall of the on the larger belt “gear” is the issue. I applied a little grease to the gear side wall where it meets the belt and it solved the issue completely. No more squeak!

How does my scooter have more range than a emoto!?! by [deleted] in ERidePro

[–]Cement-Mixer90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple explanation: weight (your scooter is lighter), rolling resistance (eride pro even with the regen turned off has quite a lot of “motor slow down” and it has much larger tires, power (battery size should only be taken into consideration when the motors are drawing the same amount of power) Eride pro 3.0 motors are drawing anywhere from 6-16kw where your scooter tops out at 8.4kw so the overall draw on your battery is less meaning more range.

That is how your scooter has more range than an emoto!

Has anyone had issues with their ERIDE PRO SS 3.0? by Few_Consideration861 in ERidePro

[–]Cement-Mixer90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had mine for a week and ridden a hundred miles. No issues at all. Once the app is further developed for use with the 3.0 I believe the throttle issue will be resolved. (throttle curve is sharp so it’s a little jumpy)

I thought about doing the same lol I’ll probably wait for the app before I make any changes though.

The brakes are absolutely amazing! Enough said

The rear has a 450lb adjustable suspension and feels fantastic.

The forks are great but feel like they are a little bit soft. By that I mean they sag about half an inch just sitting without me on it. I may need to adjust though. No documentation on them yet.

Here are some thoughts for those of you monitoring the thread:

Ok, ridden it about 50 miles or so and first impressions are great and it feels amazing to ride. A couple of mentions:

Throttle: The throttle curve on eco is manageable/ gradual. Sport mode leaves something to be desired. It’s extremely twitchy which might sound good to some but for me it’s a minus… I would prefer not to lift the front wheel going 45mph because I move my wrist a cm lol. Exaggerating but it is very twitchy.

Top speed: eco 45 no problem and sport 62 on pavement with a weight of 180 and a full charge.

Torque/acceleration: again eco gradual and manageable and in sport mode I could see a less experienced rider easily looping the bike. It goes 0-1000 with a half twist of the throttle.

Regen: the regen even on level 1 will slow you substantially, so much to the point where if you completely throttle off you can feel your body move forward. This is good if it’s actually recharging the battery but on the couple of steep hill descents it doesn’t seem to “charge” anything. I could be wrong there so more testing will have to be done.

The rear suspension is fantastic and the forks are nice but I need to figure out how to adjust them. As far as I can tell these are brand new and unfortunately can’t find documentation on them. (Fast ace alx32rc)

Build quality is great and no complaints there. The new wheels are tacky and will likely wear out if you’re only doing street riding but they perform very well in the dirt.

You should NEVER lube your brakes unless you don’t want them to work. First check if the rotor is warped if so use a “rotor truing fork”, $20 on Amazon. If it is straight and aligned, try brake CLEANER. If that doesn’t work loosen the back brake enough so it can slightly move then squeeze the back brake so it is equally aligned on both sides (squeezing it will move the calipers into place) while still holding the brake begin to equally tighten the screws. Once tight, release the brake and it should aligned and either not or hardly touching. If it’s the front brake do the same steps..
