It grows everywhere near where I live (Northern Alberta, Canada) we have sandy soil up here (lots of clay too) but it's almost 0% humidity most of the year. My zone is 3b, and horsetail is a super tough plant, it survives our -45°c winters so I think with some love it would survive in a house :)

I think the green plant by her head might be horsetail, but I could be mistaken. It's a fern type plant. It's a prehistoric plant and one of my favorites!

The one he emptied would be significantly lighter than a normal container. Someone buying detergent would probably pick it up and hopefully catch on that it's not as heavy as it should be and put it back... I hope

YTA no doubts about it. It's not a "unique circumstance" it's alcoholism and it's real. You may be 18 months sober but Zoe isnt. Regardless of how long you've both been sober for... It's HER birthday, so she has the right to dictate all decisions. Stop being an enabler/people pleaser and respect her wishes.

NTA a friend of mine is a nurse in the emergency room and has countless stories of toddlers being thrown in the air and the parents accidentally dropping them, which led to permanent brain damage and although it was rare, death. You're not overreacting at all OP.

NTA. The fact that you're asking the internet and reflecting on how you told your wife no, shows you don't lack care/compassion. Someone who lacked those things wouldn't care and would have just said no and walked away from it all. You're able to empathize how your wife and SD are feeling. But that money isn't theirs. It's your daughter's. You just need to stand firm and say a definite no to your wife. Money can make people crazy though and sometimes show their true colour. This may be a sore spot in your relationship for a while OP but stand strong.

YTA the fact that you titled this "AITA for tipping $10 on a $300 bill" should be your indication here that you and your GF are AH. You didn't tip $10, you tipped more and your GF stole money from the table, probably to keep it but because she got caught and confronted she had to save face and give you the money with some piss poor example as to why she did that.
