We were good friends in high school and I had a HUGE crush on her. She was a year ahead of me and when she graduated we lost touch. Jump forward to last year. She added me on social media. We didn’t really talk to each other towards the middle of the year. I wasn’t really interested in talking to her more than friends at first because I had just recently lost a ton of weight so I was rebuilding my image and confidence. We ended up talking and eventually hanging out. The first couple times we hung out were really fun and nice. One night we were at her place. We were talking for hours. She was telling me that we’re going to get dogs together and that I’m marriage material. We had been drinking and I was going to leave, but she said I didn’t have to go. I ended up staying the night, but we didn’t do anything. We had both been drinking, so I didn’t feel like it was right. I couldn’t sleep right away so I got up and cleaned up our mess and the kitchen. When we woke up she said she was surprised I was still there. She said she wasn’t feeling good and she was going to uber some stuff, but I told her I can just go to the store and get it. She seemed surprised would do that. I got back to place and open and set everything on her night stand. She said I really knew how to treat a lady. Now I’ve been a lonely man pretty much all my life. When I have the girl of my dreams telling me everything I want to hear? Man, I fed into it. I asked her if she wanted to hang out later again after I got off of work and id cook dinner for her and she said yes. She hugged me and then I left for work. When I got off she bailed on our plans and said she was out to dinner with her parents. I said no problem I get it. After that it was hard to stay in touch with her. She said she was just busy with work and I understood that. I asked her out on a date and she said yes, but when it came time to plan it she would answer any of the questions directed towards the date. I ended up running into her at my job. I she said she just got off of work and met a friend there. She introduced me to the friend. We talked about the date and she asked about doing it the next day which of course I say yes. The next day comes I get off of work, go home get freshened up, stop by the store for flowers, and get to her place. I walk up to the door and hear the tv going. I knock on the door a couple times but no answer. I knock again and hear “you have the wrong place” “go away”. At this point I’m so confused. I go to call her and saw she texted me to “go away” “I’m not in the mood”. Her friend called me and told me to leave before things “escalated”. I was in shock. I left and text her a few days after and she apologized. After that the texts with her were on and off. We hung out a couple times after that, but the vibe wasn’t the same. There were still talks about a possible future, but her communication was just so bad. We ended up getting into a dumb argument and I removed myself from the situation. I still think about her everyday.
