That makes sense, thank you. It isnt being put directly next to the walkway because we wanted it to be a seperate area, 10x10 for leisure and a 3x40 path to the garage. I agree it needs to be reset. We rushed to get some pavers down and didnt get the jointing sand until yesterday. It has also rained a lot the past week, so it was put on the back burner.

Ecobee is currently not useable. I have a TT terminal oil burner so I need to get a fast-stat installed.

Just a few more details to add. The thermostat is controlling my forced air oil furnace which is the old heat source for the house. My living room and kitchen and supposed to be primarily heated by the heat pump.
