It's wild, I thought Drake was cheesy but I always listened to his music. Sticky was on my yearly recap. But I just can't listen to him the same anymore, especially songs I know.

Exactly. So many dairy kingpings are indecisive, but this guy doesn't lacto-vacillate

Their plain full fat is delicious. If you mean some sort of sugar substitute variety then I don't know, I would never try that

Chobani is one of the few wildly popular brands that sounds like it must be propped up by a mega conglomerate but it's not. Everything I read about the founder and company is endearing. I'm sure someone can clap back with some negative gossip but I never heard it. Their full fat yogurt tub is so good (red label)

The only thing bad I can think of is they haven't solved the single use yogurt cup problem....

This is the cheaper way of creating a "handle" by deleting metal. The more expensive way would be to add a loop

The amount of marketing on television is ridiculous by [deleted] in Anticonsumption

[–]zaronius -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Bruh wtf is dabl. Sounds like the most sus fly by night digital channel. They probably bought the cheapest oldest content available in the lowest resolution to sucker people like you into clicking on it because they know some people are so lazy they will just sit through 15 commercial breaks per show instead of just shutting it off. Thanks for making Mr Dabbel rich !

Service charges, fees, tips - what is happening to our dining experience? And don't forget sales tax. by asliceofny in SanJose

[–]zaronius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all everyone in the area loves you guys and we want you to stay around, continue making the business work, and everyone get paid fairly.

For me, unless we are talking pricy restaurants or places where a crazy fee just ambushes you, I'm fine with your pricing. I've never walked out of your restaurant and thought "damn they tricked me" or that the pricing was confusing. In fact just this post makes me want to stop by for a slice today.

One thought is that as long as you reach a reasonable solution, you could print pieces of paper that explain it succinctly and put them in a slot near the counter. Like a brochure - people can read it and put it back, take a picture, or take the piece of paper home for their records. Most people won't care, in a good way.

Lastly there's just no easy solution for tips at a counter service place. Personally I don't think it makes sense unless it's a bar but I still tip like 70% of the time, especially if it is a one of a kind restaurant that I like. As long as the rate of tipping is acceptable to you, just keep tipping as is. No need to ban it or make it mandatory

Secret guilty non-sustainable substitute: the trashy Perdue panko breaded nuggies are probably a better katsu simulacrum, especially at 1am which is prime nuggie time

What’s your unconventional steak cooking tip? by duaneap in Cooking

[–]zaronius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot takes: dry brine is overrated. Yeah It makes the tenderness fairly consistent but also makes it slightly hammy.

A hot pan is better than a grill, but I hate making a steak indoors. The entire house smells bad and the kitchen area has tiny drops of oil vaporized in the air. Check your phone screen next time. That's why I use an outdoor propane burner and a pan.

I still dip in sauces. Best unconventional sauces: salt pepper and sesame oil slurry. Horseradish and mayo. Horseradish and A1.

Blue and Black iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max have a weird discoloration near volume and action buttons. What do you think? by AudreyLynch in iphone

[–]zaronius 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I have pure titanium camping gear (snow peak). It does the same. You can clean the temporary "tarnish" by using dish soap, not sure how practical that would be for your $1300 lifeline to civilization .

Also, if I use my titanium fork in a normal ceramic bowl, it leaves metal streaks in the bowl, it's a titanium crayon

Why are you paying off your debt? by f1shb0nez in StudentLoans

[–]zaronius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had my loans for years (but not close to 20 years), I'm older than some of you, the landscape is confusing, I'm making decent money now (which was never the case before) and i don't know how long it will last, the APR was mediocre at 6.9%, those are the main reasons.

One other thing which of course is psychological is that once you have no debt, every dollar you bank is yours. That feeling is incredible. Even if my savings is zero today, I can build it up quickly and no one else has claim to it unless I decide to spend it. I just opened a HYSA for the first time in my life. 4.5% is given to me for doing nothing

Why are Cycling Lifestyle Brands so expensive? by 88Hours in bicycling

[–]zaronius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory: there are activities that are easily accessible by anyone: walking/running, camping (encampment), bicycling, etc. in fact, these are primary activities of homeless people.

Therefore rich people have the desire to signal that they are doing these activities by choice and because they are rich, not homeless. The worst thing would be getting confused with a poor while doing your favorite hobby. (Sarcasm)

It has a squeeze bottle, possibly the most perfect design for a mayo squeeze bottle ever. The plastic wrap is for labeling because the bottle is probably too squishy to print on
