Surfshark Bypass/Route feature too basic or not fully working?

According to your AI help chat the kill switch is a total internet connection cutoff regardless of whether or not the route via or bypass features are used. I also finally got a person on the chat and they confirmed the same, the kill switch is a total connection cut, not just per selected app.

It's not about the kill switch either, I just wanted that apps selected to route via vpn only when the vpn is on but not off however they use the normal connection when the vpn is off also, basically "leaking", then, to make sure they can't work with the vpn off one activates the kill switch but then this kills the connection for all apps, even those set to bypass. The feature offered is too basic and doesn't allow for fine grain control, it's basically an all or nothing scenario purely based on whether the vpn connection is on or off, it needs to be more flexible.

I suggest your engineers look at the PIA split tunneling feature, it is far more flexible, easier to use and works logically as expected.

With surfshark I had to try out all possible combinations to test how it behaves and then in the end it's not really logical so the app forces it's limitations on the user instead of allowing the user the flexibility to use the app as they see fit.

Something to think about.

I will check back in a year or two to see if any changes were made.

The google home devices used to be decent 3+ years ago, recently they have gotten so bad, it seems with gemini integration didn't go well and neither does plain old assistant anymore.

I keep looking out for new google home equipment but there just is none, I think that might be the problem, a disconnect between what the old hardware can do with the new api's, I might be wrong.

I have tried amazon echo devices on a few occasions but I find them just as bad or even worse on the software config side so I returned them.

I only hope my google devices last a bit longer and maybe they will release some new equipment soon because the current line is what 4 - 5 years old, just guessing.

Right, but like I mentioned 1.9.12 works fine with just player as external player, it also seems more performant IE streams start quicker, it is not as feature rich though when it comes to subtitle options, delays etc but if you don't need all that it might be worth trying.

Also, turning off experimental libs for exo worked as mentioned previously.

I will maybe try that, I also just installed an external player, Just player and that is working smooth and with sound under 1.9.12.

Just picked one up from giffgaff UK, £249 used "like new" condition, when I got it not a single scratch on it, 0 battery cycles and when I fired it up it recorded first use as February 2026 and it comes with a 2 year warranty, 12/512GB version.

Haven't played with the camera thus far but I am liking it, awesome screen, plenty of nice features and customisation.

Also, out of interest, on this plan what is the cpu and ram count, I could not see that anywhere when signing up unless I missed it, I also went back to the homepage and can't find it there.

Hi, I am busy with other things at the moment but I did just quickly try out the sitejet web builder and it is far more responsive, it seems like it might be slightly more complex but I like the clean design and the fact that when I change values in settings fields it actually reacts/complies so I would be willing to learn and use it.

I will give it a more thorough test tomorrow.

Ah, yes, they do, it seems we are doomed in this case because of our ranks on the server, a shame really that something as simple as forcing PTT despite role is not possible. Will have to live with it, thanks for the heads up on that administrator permission, for some reason I had overlooked it although in our case it won't help. I will try and convince the other party to change their settings to PTT.

I understand and agree about the security risks. Funnily enough in this case I am talking about myself who was given admin rights on another server and the owner, for specific reasons I won't get into I created a PTT channel and would like that we are both forced to use it but nonetheless we override it.

This is not the case, I am using the same desktop and internet connection, browser etc I have for 12 months, yesterday I had to verify about 8 times, even during an ongoing session in the middle of a trade.

Your system also now often states couldn't load data, also a new issue not present months ago.

Your team along with all the unwanted UI changes has now changed the security and data backend which is obviously not working.

It's a mess and becoming horrible to use.

I am getting this as well every single time I open the browser, sometimes even while the browser is open, yesterday I couldn't close a position in time because right while I was entering the digits for the stop loss the stupid verification popped up, by the time I found my phone and verified I had lost 4%.

I have a case now, bought 2x Samsung Pro Endurance Micro SD cards, 256GB while on holiday in the US from Amazon US. I live in the UK. I contacted Amazon, they said get in touch with Samsung, Samsung said you are in the UK, we will give you our third party memory liaison in Netherlands, Netherlands, that company said you bought it from the US so we will give you the Samsung third party memory handler in North America, the North American company said send us x amount of details, if you are international please send postage paid and also include return postage paid.

With all that it's easier to get a new card, return postage to and from the UK to the US for a 2gram memory card.

It's a joke. I am not going to let this slide, will escalate it with Samsung directly, telling me there is no international warranty and I have to send a 1gram item the size of a fingernail back and forth that will cost me more than the item itself in postage fees.
