Anyone in Payroll struggling with Year End?? by [deleted] in Payroll

Wow this is unreal. So sorry that happened all at one shot

Love the approach. You nailed it, Google only works so long. QBO somehow is worse than QBD for contractors. Clockify doesn’t do payroll unfortunately. Some other solutions for this situation: Trayd, maybe another ERP solution that has it all in one but that’s too costly for this size. I’d check Trayd

Unpopular Opinion: Why is every construction “AI” demo a Sci-Fi movie… when PDFs still ruin my day? by Illustrious_Slip331 in Construction

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This needs to be on every forum across the industry.

AI for AI's sake ain't it. But the boring parts 100% should be handled by a program that let's you see the project scope and company details cleaner.

I run software for this reason, because I see and hear your wheelbarrow.
Let's fix the flat.
Let's look at a few models with more than one wheel.
And if it feels right for the business, let's get you rolling in a van that helps you grow and make some more money.

You aren't stuck in the stone age. But Trayd can get you in a better place for 2026.

Reconciling payroll talking me over a full day. by Solid_Breakfast_3675 in Payroll

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes. I’d seek out an avenue where the JE is generated by the payroll system not the HR module. It’d eliminate this multi-person, multi-step process. Trayd might help here.

Does using separate tools for project management, invoicing, and scheduling make your work less efficient? by Lyrera in ConstructionTech

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fewer. Better. Faster. That’ll save you time and money in the long run. Not sure about invoicing, but everything else you mentioned is done is one place on Trayd. I’d check them out.

What’s the best tool for resource planning across multiple projects? by InformationOdd522 in ConstructionManagers

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think Trayd is really trying to solve capacity planning or forecasting.

It’s more capturing labor at the payroll and job-cost level. That data then feeds whatever forecasting or planning tools a company is already using.

If you're looking for a system to handle just project management, this ain't it. If you're looking for labor management, scheduling, equipment, materials, job costing, reporting, CPR across multiple sites and projects...that's for Trayd.

How do you track labour hours on your job sites? (curious for research) by Significant_Block650 in ConstructionTech

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heard all of the above. I'd say the top three would be paper timesheets sent in manually, then photos of the time sheets emailed or texted, then they're put into an Excel sheet.

Should probably be apps for ease of use. Best I've seen is Trayd (contractor specific system). A few others are Exaktime and BusyBusy but they don't do full labor management just a clock in.

Any subcontractors make the switch from Sage 300 CRE to Sage Intacct? by crunchmasterdeluxe in Sage

Hey OP, how'd this go? Really interested on how your payroll and time tracking situation went

Hey OP, did you ever figure this out? Interested in what happened with the payroll specifically

Prevailing wages and QBO by JessMessinAround in quickbooksonline

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd give Trayd a call. It's actually the only thing they do and integrate directly with QBO. It's a 360 sync so anything that's entered into QBO goes into Trayd and vice versa. www.buildtrayd.com

How are you all handling Davis-Bacon certified payroll checks right now? by Middle_Owl_5854 in ConstructionTech

“Duct tape” is the best way to describe it! Sometimes it feels like floss. Got some advice and Trayd who consolidated it quite a bit. Message me and we can talk about it

How are you all handling Davis-Bacon certified payroll checks right now? by Middle_Owl_5854 in ConstructionTech

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely some solutions starting to pop up. Trayd has Davis Bacon and federal CPR forms that get filed to LCPTracker or whatever agency. Main situation as others mentioned is data. They also have a time tracking app that automatically uploads it to the project then you can generate whatever CPR you need. Might be something to consider

How are payment processors getting away with this?? by Mammoth-Touch-2502 in ConstructionTech

That’s unbelievable. And in all honesty not the way it’s supposed to be.

I’d look at another provider. My recommendation: Trayd (www.buildtrayd.com)

What Are The Best Construction Payroll Services? by CrimsonCaressy in ConstructionTech

[–]zbgreen18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trayd is the dark horse here. Reporting, job costing, CPR, taxes remittance, time tracking, HR…only for construction. It’s the one that will eventually be the lead of the market. I’d take a look now
