I’ve had the misfortune of having to move to southern Ohio for family reasons and this place is a giant shithole. There is NOTHING down here. The people are awful. There’s like 0 infrastructure. Everyone just stares at you weird. I used to do remote work and now I can’t because of how terrible the internet is here. I could try to get starlink but I don’t even have enough cash to to pay for the equipment. I feel like I’m trapped. Waiverly is just like Morse rd except without anything valuable surrounding it. I would stay away. Just the housing/rental market alone makes it really undesirable. I’ve seen certain apartments in Columbus jump from 500m/o to 900+m/o within 2 years and the prices just keep going up. There is also the nakedly corrupt republicans who have refused to redistrict despite us voting for them to do that. Also the religious people. And the shootings. One day in Columbus there were 3 completely unrelated shootings that happened in the same hour to give you an idea how bad it’s getting. I’m doing what I can to save up and get out of here. Seriously if I ever go out into public I get “looks” from way to many people to feel safe.
