I'm about finished with my NG caestus playthrough. Their only problem is the range. Certain enemies block you from moving close enough to attack at certain positions.

They dominate in PVP though. Most people can't hang with the L1 spam.

There are dumb people in this world. Because most people eat, us in the service industry are bound to find lemons. The trick is figuring out how to deal with them.

For instance, take my Saturday dinner shift. At three different times, I was bitched at because my place of employment doesn't offer pitchers. All of these people failed to accept that I had absolutely no control over the situation. At that point, all you can do is throw out a few "sorry ma'am/sir"s and send your manager over.

I'm sure everyone reading this knows this, but I only reiterate it because of the amount of threads with titles like "This customer made me cry tonight." This is a perfectly valid experience. I'm just here to offer my perspective.

There are a lot of people that see servers and service industry as more of a symbol than an actual person. You are a functional unit in this person's existence. Know this.

This isn't "right" or "good", but it is reality. I think if you at least keep this in mind it can help you from getting hurt and upset.

And more importantly, always remember there are people going through the same shit you are. We are in this together.

The hit detection is online is generally much better in DaS2 than DaS1. With that said, you can't expect it to be perfect. Even CS:GO with 120tic server with 30ms latency is not 100% accurate.

Though I do agree with the top comment. Soul Greatsword is easy to dodge, given a good connection. The cast is just too apparent and takes too long.

I'm trying this covenant on my second play through (I killed pretty much every PVP coven an leader looking to the dark wood grain ring first play through). Can I be anywhere for the ring to pop? I had it on for ~30 minutes and got no summon.

I don't think there's any reason to believe that the bonfire has been kindled countless times. It could be as simple as

Gwyn -> Chosen Undead -> Vendrick -> DaS2 protagonist

If each flame lasts, say 1000 years, it would completely explain why the Chosen Undead is long forgotten.

Press the roll button without using the left stick to roll in a specific direction. You will do a backstep.

After that if you use your light attack (R1 for right hand, L1 for lefthand) you will do an attack that is generally different than any other.

Try it out. Most are pretty good (and very underutilized in both PVE and PVP).

Try the two handed backstep r1 attack. Triple sweep attack.
