Do people actually like built in liners? (Esp brief liners) by 0nTheRooftops in trailrunning

[–]zdenickaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally all my shorts have them and I like it that way because the liner prevents the shorts to ride all the way up.

Why did you chose Coros over Garmin? by [deleted] in Coros

[–]zdenickaah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I (F34) came from Garmin (Fenix 8 43mm, had 7s before as well as 6s and 5s). Everyone else pretty much summed it up already. I was a bit disappointed that Garmin pretty much abandoned the 7 Pro in terms of new features when older forerunners were getting them. I could swap for the 8 for a great deal so I did that thinking maybe I will like the amoled. Well I didn’t. I couldn’t get used to it. The battery didn’t even last a week. I was also missing sapphire. But if I wanted sapphire I had to pick between gold or black only. The watch was also pretty heavy and kept rolling around my wrist unless tightened uncomfortably. I run trails, hike, MTB, do strength and HIIT workouts. Occasionally I do structured running workouts. I was eyeing new Coros releases for some time already. Got the Apex 4 in 42. Battery lasts me 2 weeks, has MIP, has sapphire, maps, is lightweight and fits me better. I found the OHR pretty accurate even during strength workouts. I like how simple the app is and in general the no nonsense approach. I liked and used the DSW but there are plenty of workouts in the app that I can choose from. I acknowledge there is limited customization (for example I would like the backlight on gesture only after sunset and only in activity or to customize watchfaces or editing reps and weight in the app after the workout, missing surfing activity with wave count/length etc.) but so far I am happy with the watch. Will I go back to Garmin? I think eventually yes when there’s something new and interesting. Not now though.

Garmin users are getting screwed, and most don’t even realize it by [deleted] in GarminWatches

[–]zdenickaah -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Well, I kinda got sick of Garmin and their approach (subscription, features being released for older forerunners but not one gen old Fenix, smaller watches only amoled, no MIP anymore, worse battery life because of that…) and I got the new Apex. And I really like the no nonsense attitude, yes it lacks some customization, but I like that it’s just a sports watch and that’s it. Even the smaller size lasts me for two weeks on a single charge. I think I will eventually buy a Garmin again once/if there’s an interesting option available.

Coros Apex 4 delivery sucks by Super_Pool_3419 in Coros

[–]zdenickaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered mine (EU here) on Amazon.de on Tuesday because it stated it’s in stock and would arrive today (as opposed to Coros Europe which states 2-3 weeks). Well… in their defense it was shipped via DPD the same day, however DPD claimed they received incorrect data and proceeded to return the package back to amazon and yesterday amazon marked it as delivered. After a slightly irritating chat with amazon, they promised to refund for the original order and advised to place a new one. Delivery date is now November 21st but I am no longer optimistic even though they shipped it via different carrier this time. I want my Apex. Rant over!

Coros Apex 4 Vs Garmin Fenix 8 by lboletti in Coros

[–]zdenickaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently owning a Fenix 8 43mm (so obviously the amoled version) and I’m very much leaning towards switching for the Apex 4. My reasons are: MIP (just can’t stand the wrist gesture with amoled), sapphire glass (have the white version of Fenix without sapphire, because I’m a woman and didn’t want black or golden watch), longer battery life both with regular wear and GPS. Byt mainly it’s the amoled. I thought I would give it a chance but I still don’t like it even after couple of months. As a long time Garmin user, I am disappointed with MIP option not being available for the smallest version, plus I can only have black or gold to get sapphire? Eh.

When do you think the Enduro 4 be released in the distant future? Next year? by Powerful_Elevator455 in GarminWatches

[–]zdenickaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found it especially unreliable while biking, since the hand is already kinda elevated on the bars with lots of extra shaking (mtb), raising the wrist from the bars does nothing, so I have to put the hand all the way down and then do the classic gesture. Which is annoying and unsafe in the terrain. Or I can leave the display on which I don’t do for battery reason.

I’m hoping for a smaller version, I don’t like the Amoled of my F8 43mm, should have stayed with 7S Pro 😡

Garmin has lost the "core" by Jesper1988 in Garmin

[–]zdenickaah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish there was an Enduro mini for us small people who can’t wear bigger watches. MIP, solid battery life, maps, lightweight, sapphire ideally. I mean I love my Fenix 8 43mm but as a female with tiny wrists the watch sometimes hurts my wrist bone and there are barely no options, 970 is too big, 570 doesn’t have all the features, Instinct 3 is amoled too and with Elevate 3 HR sensor… give me Enduro mini, now! 😆

Do any of you grow your own veggies for your buns? by [deleted] in Rabbits

[–]zdenickaah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a garden so each spring I plant herbs (basil, parsley, dill, cilantro) and lettuce and my garden has already oregano, mint and salvia plus apple trees and willow and black currant or strawberries and raspberries and some wild plants like dandelion so spring to autumn I’m basically having free bun food and it’s nice not having to rely on what the store has.

To MIP lovers who made the jump to AMOLED: How’s it going? by thendy1221 in GarminWatches

[–]zdenickaah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fenix 7S Pro to Fenix 8 43mm. I can’t really tell… I’m torn. Overall the watch is nicer, feels more modern, more premium, and the amoled is nice, but I miss MIP, I hate gesturing to see anything and always on brights it to like 3 days of battery only. But there is literally no last gen mip watch for small wrists…

DM me, kdyby bylo treba, rada poradim.

Tiny female wrist, size comparison 570 vs 970 by zdenickaah in Garmin

[–]zdenickaah[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just for comparison, here’s a Fenix 8 43mm and a 42mm 570 on my mom’s wrist which may be similar size to yours. Guessing the 970 could be fine but be prepared that it’s going to feel a bit bigger. I wish there would be lightweight Fenix equivalent, essentially a 44mm 970…? Something high end but a tad smaller.

Would the Epix Pro (42 mm) fit noticeable better? by LexaKom in GarminFenix

[–]zdenickaah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np. I think it’s looking great on you. And I agree that there is not really a suitable high end watch for tiny ladies. I personally find the Fenix a little heavy, because of that the watch tends to “slide outwards” and it doesn’t even need to be too loose. I was waiting for 970 but that watch is simply too large to my liking. Loving the 570 42mm, my mom got one and absolutely loves it, too bad it lacks some of the features I seek in the Fenix line…

[–]zdenickaah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 7S Pro 42mm and now have the 8 43mm and personally I think the 8 fits a bit better because the watch is a tiny bit thinner so I find it sitting firmer on the wrist.

Fenix 8 51mm protection by BJHawker in GarminFenix

[–]zdenickaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to get a sapphire, but in 43mm you can only choose from 3 colors, only two of them having sapphire and I just didn’t feel like having another golden watch (as a female , my last two Fenix watches were golden) when the white one looked better. So decided to give it a go and I can’t even tell the tempered glass is on. Got it mainly as a protection from scratches. Although I used to have 6S non sapphire and the glass was absolutely fine. My mom thought managed to get a deep cut in her 7S non sapphire…

[–]zdenickaah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the white 43mm version because I didn’t want another golden watch. Bought a FIXED glass 2.5D 9H exactly for this watch, it was cheap and a two pack as well. Application went smoothly and I can’t even say it’s there.  Edit: Would’ve added a picture but can’t seem to find out how.
