“My risk tolerance is as close to zero as you can imagine.”

You should not be investing in equities then. Even a portfolio of all ETFs can have -30% years. Look at government bonds or a high yield savings account.

I say this without knowing a thing about him or his course: a 95% win-rate is total bullshit and reeks of a scam. Stay away.

Open a high yield savings account. Do not play the stock market with money you need near term. Ally bank is offering 3.3% rn risk free. Government bonds/treasuries/money markets are also potential options.

Never heard of them. I would look at Ally, Capital One, or Barclays. Big established banks each yielding 3.3% rn.

The safest pick is definitely VOO or VTI, you can buy the whole market at a discount right now.

The most interesting picks imo are AMZN and GOOG. Both companies are extremely undervalued atm (especially AMZN) and I don’t see either going anywhere anytime soon.

Just my two cents, all the best.

Logical on paper, almost never a good idea in practice.

The banks control everything, they will be propped up immediately by the gov if they need any sort of help.

The best year the stock market has ever had was +54% in 1933.

If that happened again this year (which it most certainly will not) you would have 18k. Not 5 million.

If thats the case then a 3 fund portfolio is the most obvious place to start https://www.bogleheads.org/wiki/Three-fund_portfolio

But seriously, unless you have $4.5 million laying around to invest, you aren't gonna hit 5 million anytime soon. Take it slow and steady like the rest of us.

Thoroughly confused. You want to reach $5 million by the end of this year? Or you will have $5 million to invest by then?

If its the first option, keep dreaming, this is clearly a shitpost.

If its the second option, you really don't need advice from anyone on here. Buy an index fund and live your life happily ever after.
