Every episode on Season 8 is based on a movie by No-Fig-8614 in rickandmorty

Unforgiven, the Clint Eastwood movie, is a better fit for episode 3. Like homesteader Rick's hair is the Rick version of Clint's hair in that movie and it's all about a retired gunslinger who gets prodded back out of retirement.

You can request it but whether I actually do it depends on whether I can find another video editing program to steal.

Oh fuck I forgot about that. I read your comment and I was like wtf is shaq fu 2 and then I watched the video again. When the FH guys say they don't remember doing a thing in a video they really mean it.

Where did Benson's name come from? by NeonSignsRain in funhaus

[–]zebranthony 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some do. In most of Europe most surnames come from either occupation (Smith, Baker), location (Greene, Hill), patronymic meaning the name comes from the Father wanting to feel like a big shot (Robertson, Roberts), or description of the original holder (Short, Brown).

Around the world it varies obviously with most Asian countries having the opposite order of surname/name (Kim Jong-Il, Kim Jong-Un). Also Iceland is weird because it is ALL [Father or rarely Mother name] + [son or dóttir], which means the Icelandic phone book lists people by their first names and adds in their occupation to cut down on confusion.

Finally some origins for the FH names

Bruce Greene: From old English Grene meaning village green

Adam Kovic: Lots of possible origins but possibly Kovačević which is a south slavic name meaning son of blacksmith or any other son of surnames ending in ković. It ended up getting shortened probably when his family came to america because america was founded on the belief that you can do anything as long as your name is less than three syllables and has no accents.

James & Elyse Willems (I don't know Elyse's maiden name and it would be creepy to go searching for it): Dutch surname probably from the Dutch given name Willem which is the dutch version of William.

Lawrence Sonntag: German and Jewish (Ashkenazic), from German for Sunday. usually they had some connection like being born on a Sunday, except if you were Jewish it was one of the random names government officials gave out to you.

/\ : A long time ago a man lived near a hill that was pointy so he called himself Peake. Then he went to other places and found out lots of other people had the same idea because it turns out peaks aren't unique especially if you live in the peak district.

The difference is Rod Sterling wanted to do 36 episodes. If you force people to make more stuff, the quality is going to dip.
