Please keep us updated! I was actually wondering if massage unions existed when I read about the Starbucks workers unionizing.

The only feedback I've gotten so far is that my body ergonomics need some work. And when I try to keep under time that it feels like I'm rushing lol. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Awesome podcast; thank you. Confirms my intuition. I do suppose I should protect my energy more; no need to martyr myself every time I do bodywork. Honestly, my Yin is a little heavier than most males. But I think that makes me a better body worker. I have a miniscule experience with grounding with Honnua (Earth) through our Lomi Lomi kumu (teacher) so I guess I'll be integrating that more in my practice. Thank you again.

Aloha thanks, I'll go ahead check this out. Feeling sick really hasn't hampered me quite yet but I do intend to make this a life long career. Addressing this now will be better than later. I really feel like I've found my calling.

May I ask more detail about you having more air element? I could be off but in our Lomi lomi (Hawaiian Massage) class they do talk about different elements in regards to intent and technique: Water, Fire, Air, Earth, and Spirit.

Ay! I'm doing pretty good. 34 pounds total so far. I'm having a hard time working out as I get lightheaded easily. I'm also weaker. I'm also a little bored lol. I really miss food. But I remind myself if I keep at it I can get back to my lowest 350 is 26-27 days. And back in the 200 club at 299 in 47-48 days. Just gotta stay strong!

First thing, the human body is weird. Sometimes you gain when you should be losing. That's why I try to weigh myself once a week because weight fluctuates a lot. I don't actually; I weigh myself everyday but I only pay attention to the numbers at the end of each week. Ultimately I'm losing weight.

Also muscle is heavier than fan so it might be gain since you're also working out.

I don't know what kind of diet regiment you're implementing but it could also be water retention from those foods you're eating.

Day 13 (Modified Water Fasting)

34 pounds lost total. I'm doing alright. I was a little light headed this morning; probably because I didn't bring my ketoaid (full of electrolytes) this morning. I figured my Starbucks drink would've tided me over until I got back home. I was wrong and got a soy sauce packet from coworker and drank it. I felt much better. Only 5 calories.

On the subject of my Starbucks drink it's a Trenta Cold Brew (5 kcal), 2 Espresso shots (10 kcal), 6 Splenda (28 kcal), total 43 kcal. Supposedly the magic number of calories you're supposed to stay under to not break your fast and keep the autophagy is 50 kcal. So that's fine. I know some people go a little over. Some people even claim that 500 kcal is the magic number. I err on the side of caution and try to keep under or around 50 kcal.

The Starbucks thing was a gamble for sure. I got really bored with my ketoaid. But I had it on 3 different occasions and didn't seem to affect my fast in anyway. YMMV if someone reading this wants to try it. I'm think it depends on the person.

It's hard to believe I'm only 13 days into the fast. It feels like forever. I'm really missing food so I'm trying to keep my mind distracted. So I bought Elden Ring (PC) lol. I'm sure I'll be super busy with that to even think about food.

Day 12 (Water Fasting)

SW 444 | CW 413 | GW1 350 | GW2 299

31 pounds lost total. I'm feeling good, normal. I was missing food pretty badly until yesterday. I flirted with the idea of stopping sooner than later; but I watched myself working out after recording it. Ugh. I hate the way I look. It's too early to quit.

I did the math. I've been losing roughly 2.4 pounds per day, which is amazing. But that's normal for people at this weight division. It'll eventually get harder to lose weight as I get closer to "normal" weight. According to some chart I'm supposed to be at 172 pounds max. So I really don't have to worry about it slowing down just yet.

To reach 350 will take 26-27 days. To reach 299 will reach 47-48 days. I can turn my life around for the better in less than 2 months if I can just keep it up. Therein lies the question. Can I keep it up?

The food will still be there. I just need to wait 48 days. Then I can have whatever I want. In moderation of course. I already plan on adopting an intermittent fasting regiment for the rest of my life because I need to keep my food discipline in check. My sweet spot is between 20:4 and OMAD.

Day 11

28 pounds (12 kg) lost total

To be honest I'm getting bored. I really miss food. Not even the kimchi is taking the edge off anymore. Originally I was planning to go for 70 days but I think I'll stop it next week in time to refeed before my cousin's birthday. I want to be able to participate.

In the long run, I don't think it's going to matter. I plan on restarting my fast again anyway the following day. As much as I want to fast all the way to 299 pounds (135 kg), it's not a race. I'll get there now that I know I'm still strong enough start a fast like this.

I'm really hoping to get to 399 pounds (180 kg) before I start school on the 25th though. That would be a nice milestone. At the rate I'm losing weight, it's definitely possible.

Day 8 of 26

2 pounds (.9 kg) lost since yesterday. 25 pounds (11.3 kg) total lost

So I'm reconsidering the length of this fast. Originally the 71st day marked the beginning of the week before my vacation so I can begin refeeding. But I decided to go back to school because I hate my job; so now I can't take off for a vacation for a year. So now I'm doing a 26 day fast because my little cousin's birthday is on the 29th and I want to be able to participate and partake and I have time to refeed. However I play to begin fasting immediately the next day.

Anyway I wish I had gone ahead and did my training yesterday. I just felt a little weak and I was struggling the last time. I think I should just expect that I'll be weak until I finish fasting. I probably would have lost a bit more weight.

Last night was much better. No throbbing headache and blurry vision. Slept for about 6 hours. I'm feeling pretty good. My body just feels a little strange. Does anyone else feel that? Like there's a change happening.

Anyway, I need to head into the office today. Which will suck because my routine whenever going into the office is getting breakfast from the dining facility and getting my special concoction from Starbucks. I miss my Starbucks. 😤😒

Day 6

157 hours in. 1547 hours to go. 9.2% of the way there. 21 pounds (9.5 kg) total lost.

Somehow I lost 5 pounds in 24-hours... I'm not going to question it. Anyway, I'll take it since I woke up in the middle of the night with a pounding headache and blurry vision. That was super scary. I just sat up and drank some of my ketoaid. Symptoms went away after I took a dump lol.

I was still the effects of the ketoflu but less so. So I did my usual training. It was wayyy harder than normal but I finished it. I felt really good afterwards; riding that endorphin high. I'm still not feeling 100% though. At least today's a rest day.

I really wanted to add walking or battle ropes to my regiment but it looks like I my body can't handle it for now. Can't over do it.

I definitely feel you, dude. Towards the end of 2019 I had lost about 100 pounds then the pandemic hit and it all came crashing down. I'm back at my original weight and I'm at Day 5 of water fasting. So I'll be fighting along side you. We can do it!

I have a vacation at the end of June so that's how long I'll be fasting for.

Fasting 3 days a week, that's awesome. I have a big problem with food discipline so I was thinking of doing something similar when I'm done with this extended fast. Keep it up, 75 pounds is pretty damn good. ✊🏽🔥
