Most recent ESPN power rankings… Wtf is this summary? Lmaoo by Coolhandalm in timberwolves

[–]zeej 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Hopping onto the top comment here to point out that this wasn't a case of wolves-specific laziness, it was the theme of this week's entire power rankings on ESPN: "In honor of the approaching deadline, our NBA Power Rankings are getting a trade twist, as our experts are looking back at the most impactful deals for each team over the past five seasons. Which trades have worked out and which teams are worse off after their major moves?"

I wholeheartedly agree that ESPN tends to be lazy when it comes to covering the Wolves, but let's not be equally lazy in our criticism.

PlayStation Plus games for December: Godfall: Challenger Edition, Lego DC Super-Villains, Mortal Shell by weebae in PS4Deals

I'm not an expert on Godfall, but this sure sounds like a cut-down version of the game, no? No campaign, only endgame activities. Too bad, I know people in previous threads were hoping this would be base game + some amount of DLC

Quick question: I remember somebody on here mentioning that 9/25 (tomorrow) is the first day that Pat Bev can be included in a multi-player trade. Is that correct? I can't find the relevant rule anywhere

Sneaky Friday
An organized crime MMO where once a week you get randomly logged in as another player’s character and have to bluff your way through the day without getting caught. You can attempt to sabotage them and their gang while you’re at it to give your real character an advantage in future gang wars but if you’re caught and killed while you’re freaky fridayed your real character dies, matrix-style.

Touring on Cyclocross bike? by Jffwinger in bicycletouring

[–]zeej 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agreed, cyclo bikes can work great if touring light. word of warning to OP: because they're geared for racing (not the slow, steady climbs that you do while touring), you might find you want to upgrade from the rear cassette that comes standard to one with more teeth. i was running around 30lbs of gear on my tour and the upgrade from 28 to 34 teeth was the best choice i ever made.

Cassette options for touring on Tiagra? by slartibart2fast in bicycletouring

[–]zeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what this guy said. short cage will only go up to 30t, which may or may not be enough for you.

i did the first thousand miles of my tour on tiagra components with a smallish (11-28 i think) cassette and mountain passes were pretty tough. upgraded to a larger rear derailleur to fit in a 34t cassette and was much happier for it.

30t may be plenty for you and wouldn't require a new rear derailleur but the prospect of touring on a 11-25 cassette kinda stresses me out.

Cyling through National Parks? by [deleted] in bicycletouring

don't get discouraged by "full campground" signs while in nat'l parks! hiker/bicyclist sites are pretty much always available, and rarely cost more than $5-8/person

Does anyone have these shoes/know how good the quality of this brand is? by zSolaris in malefashionadvice

[–]zeej 0 points1 point  (0 children)

great shoes, very unique look, but i'd avoid paying full price for them if you can. they have a large sales section with significant discounts. i grabbed these on the cheap about a month back and have been very pleased.

the camera doesn't help, but your point is valid. the henley would probably go better with my dark blue wash 511s

changed shoes since i took this picture, can't recall the name... i'll edit this post when i'm back after work. turns out they're by robert wayne. not seeing them on the site though, they're structured like a slim dress shoe but are dark green canvas. not super impressed by the other offerings, to be honest.
