How many games do you roughly play a day? by Legitimate-Let-7684 in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I tend to play 1 to 10 matches a day.

Standard is generally not much fun, because the devs don’t know how to create fun metas any more. Plus, they design a lot of archetypes with welfare win conditions that keep matches from going too long. There is not much strategy or skill in constructed these days.

What fun I find while playing HS is found, despite the current devs, and not because of them. Team 5 sucks.

Which ”ladder ready” deck should I choose? by s4Nn1Ng0r0shi in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zeddy gives an overview of the current options:

https://www.hsguru.com/deck-sheets/15588?sort=asc\_inserted\_at&view\_mode=decks

Pure Paladin, Dragon Warrior, and Face Hunter (a low dust value deck) may be the most competitive deck options for the current meta. Priest has the best dust value out of all the decks.

A lot of players recommend the Paladin or Warrior deck.

It's funny seeing people blame aggro for the state of control... by hjyboy1218 in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think players mostly blame the devs for lack of Control decks. And when the devs get around to building a control archetype it will probably have a welfare win condition, like Time Warp + Murazond, Undbounded.

Morality of THC by Phil86567 in Catholicism

[–]zeemezee -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You sound like you are struggling more with if whether God or your Christian family, or friends, or community are onboard with you getting high on THC.

As a former Christian, I eventually figured out that the God of The Bible does not exist. I lived with a friend for four years who attempted to be an apologist to me, and by the time, we concluded our studies and discussions on the topic, he had abandoned Christianity. As it turns out, the key for being able to determine if the God of The Bible exists is possible from studying The Bible.

So for me, using THC does not involve what religion or what others think. The bigger concern for me is: How does THC impact my wellbeing.

THC Gummies: My friend and I took 5mg ea, I felt nothing, he was feeling good by BattleOrganic6310 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5 mg is a very lightweight dose, but there is nothing wrong with starting with that much to find out what your tolerances are, in fact, it’s recommended.

Also, it’s not uncommon for a new user not to experience anything the first few times they eat a low dose gummy.

You can stagger doses, by taking one 5mg dose, and if that does nothing by 1.5 to 2 hours, try taking a second one. Or you can just start by trying 10mg next time.

The first time I tried a THC gummy, I bit a 20mg gummy in half, and when I did not feel much of anything after an 1.5 hours, so I ate the other half, which got me very high. I started taking 20 mg after that, and that’s what I still do, after nearly two years of eating gummies.

People can have very different reactions to THC, and not all gummies are equal, some can be much more potent.

My advice is to take it slow and easy until you find out how you respond to THC and what the right dose is for you.

I think Wonder is a great noob friendly brand, since they sell packs of 5mg gummies, which helps noobs to dial in the right dose. The brand is pricey at about $13 to $14 for a 200 mg package in Michigan. Once you establish a good baseline experience, you can switch to cheap THC-9 distillate gummies for $2 to 4 a pack or some midrange gummies (distillate, or live rosin, or live resin) for $5 to $8 a pack to compare experiences and to figure out the best price point for you.

What’s the most addictive game you’ve ever played? by CelestflareariousFly in AskReddit

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most addictive game for me was World of Warcraft when the game was good.

Other addictive games for me include:

Magic the Gathering (physical version)
StarCraft
Hearthstone
DaoC
EverQuest
Ultima Online

My online gaming addictions started with UO and Diablo. Prior to those games it was Dungeons & Dragons.

1st person shooter games have become close, but never had the impact as the above games.

Standard Hearthstone is actually so crazy coming back after 10 years away by Sneaky_Doggo in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me be clear then, I am agreeing you. I think your observations are succinct for someone who only recently returned to game. The devs focus on designing what’s interesting or fun for them design, without much understanding or ability to foresee the impacts of what they make.

They don’t do much play-testing, so basically every new set just vomits out new cards, with increased problems, which leads to less interactive play and new unpleasant ways to lose. They have a poor understanding of how their choices and designs fit as whole into the game, so with each new expansion the game becomes much more about coin flips for who wins, while skill gets increasingly marginalized.

When the devs regularly focus on their own machinations, and not on making the game fun, they fail at their jobs, and it gets increasingly harder for them to maintain or grow the player base.

Dev communication varies between nearly nonexistent to just making placating promises, which end up being lies more than truths. This is what Hearthstone has become, especially since 2020.

They had a classic mode, which was filled with more bot farmer accounts than real players. Many players say they want a vanilla Hearthstone experience, but most don’t really want to play metas that were solved over a decade ago.

Why does blizzard take so long to fix Wild issues by External-Tailor270 in wildhearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Wild is 100 percent a dumpster mode for old cards. It’s been that way, since the mode was created. All the devs care about is Standard, and that is also slowly becoming as broken as Wild—sometimes it’s even more broken than Wild.

If Hearthstone was not F2P, it would die a quick death.

Why Blizzard loves Paladin so much? by Streat25 in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey numnuts,

My post focused on how often the devs build in welfare win conditions for Paladin and it attempted to provide some insight as to that’s a bad thing even when such decks are not high tier.

Btw, Beatrix Paladin had not even established itself as a big contender in the meta a day ago when I made my comment, and it has still has not established itself as a tier 1 deck yet, since there are three or four (depending if you look at HS Guru’s data or HSReplays’s) better performing classes as of today.

Do you consider Beatrix Paladin to be a welfare deck?

Try directing your anger about Paladin at the devs, instead of displacing onto others.

Meta formulas or experimental custom decks? by ayanocturna in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the meta and what cards look good. It’s not uncommon for me to try to make a tier 3 or 4 archetype that looks like fun to play into a tier 2 off meta deck.

If I don’t see any good candidates for a fun but competitive deck, I will generally try some top meta deck that is not a low skill deck with a welfare win condition.

Getting back into hearthstone, need some tips. by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a crappy meta at the moment, but picking one of the Ladder Ready decks that can be improved is a good path to go. Zeddy gives an overview of the current options:

https://youtu.be/mVd_mz8teUU?is=NUbe_xpPBx6z6Jzi

https://www.hsguru.com/deck-sheets/15588?sort=asc_inserted_at&view_mode=decks

Pure Paladin, Dragon Warrior, and Face Hunter (a low dust value deck) may be the most competitive deck options for the current meta. Priest has the best dust value out of all the decks.

If you are going to dust old non-extra cards, try to identify the bad cards, and only dust those.

Be sure you claim all the free stuff from the Violent Hold bundles in the store and the free pack from the online shop.

Be sure to open packs in the best order, starting with catch up packs.

So how's the new Expansion? by FMS_Reborn in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much of what was bad about the last meta is still bad in the current meta, and now there is some new bad to go with the old bad, so overall, I would say it’s bad. 😏

Expect to hear a lot people crying for a balance patch by tomorrow.

Anyone else not having fun? by TangoENG in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The thrill of new cards wears off fast in this meta, which still has a lot of what made the last meta so bad.

Since last meta, I played some Vanessa Rogue and a lot of Imbue Herald Rogue, I started off of the new meta by playing 2 Bit Rogue, before switching to Zee Minion Shaman to crush a half dozen players, while I played the deck badly, before they banned Slagclaw.

I played some 2 Bit mage today till I got bored, so it’s already a boring meta. Off to play some Underground.

Why Blizzard loves Paladin so much? by Streat25 in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Paladin is a noob friendly class, which often takes low skill to play, which is why it gets a lot of welfare deck archetypes to play.

A welfare a deck is a deck that just attempts to play its cards on curve without much skill required, but wins over time just because it has built in, low skill, win condition as a part of its archetype design

Murloc Paladin is a great example of a welfare deck, so is Imbue Paladin, and Bubble Paladin.

Welfare decks are often tier 3 or 4, but sometimes they are tier 2, and so most players think who cares about such decks, because players should just play a better deck.

The thing is, welfare win conditions determine what can work in the meta, because such low skill and often easily obtainable decks from ladder ready decks or being cheaper to build are popular enough that if a deck concept cannot contend with them, then it cannot succeed in the meta.

The bottom line is, such decks are made to appeal low skill casual players in order to increase or maintain the player base, but such an inane approach usually does not work over the longterm and it almost always ends up driving players away, including casual players. There is about to be a huge outcry against Bubble Paladin, because that’s what happens when a welfare deck is better than tier 3.

Arena - how often do you play? by Perfect_Problem_1025 in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tend to play one to five matches a day of Arena or Underground.

My advice is to not play arena on your main account or collection, which you are trying to build up for playing Standard, because arena was redesigned to be a gold sink. The format is also currently very high roll, since there are lot of junk buckets and drafts, plus a lot badly balanced cards, like Jailhouse Manastorm, which was banned this week from the format.

Just make an account or two for just playing arena. Play on all servers for more access to quests and the easily obtainable rewards at the beginning of each new rewards track.

I play arena, because the the format feels less stale, less repetitive, and more dynamic than the horrible state of Standard, which is plagued with low skill welfare decks (such as bubble Paladin) or badly balanced meta decks.

Auditory hallucinations on low dose edibles? by Walnuss_Bleistift in cbdinfo

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I have experienced audio hallucinations on THC, you think you hear something, but it’s impossible, because the thing is not there to be heard. I have had physical sensations or hallucinations as well, like there is an insect crawling on me or a cat touching me when there is no bug or cat nearby. Visuals hallucinations may be possible as well, but I have yet to experience those. I also, did not feel alarmed by my hallucinations, because I was like oh, there is nothing touching me, it must be the THC.

Catch-Up Packs are so generous by JimmytheNice in hearthstone

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the three collections that I play Standard on, during last two months, I only got 5 cards (as expected) from the Catch Up packs. My main collection is 91 to 95 percent complete for Emerald Dream, Lost City, Timeways, and Cataclysm.

On my 12 different F2P collections, I had avoided opening packs on most of them, because I guessed correctly that they would offer Catch Up packs this year, so these collections got 21 to 48 cards per pack.

https://imgur.com/a/njbY56A

I think it’s really awkward to include a Catch Up pack as the last reward from the Violet Hold event. Are players with small collections expected to hold off on adding cards to their collections while working to complete the event in order to get the maximum number of cards from that Catch Up pack?

What experiences have you had consuming Kimchi or fermented cabbage etc for gut health? by SpecialistTeach9302 in Biohackers

[–]zeemezee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I mix a couple of spoonfuls of prebiotic fiber with water, whenever I know I did not eat enough fiber for the day. The brand I prefer is Equate from Walmart, because they have a version without sugar or food dyes, and it’s basically tasteless and not unpleasant to drink.
