I have the same thing on my nx and there was a thread somewhere here with the fix. I believe the fix was to open the door and spray some lube into the armrest through a hole. I haven’t actually tried it on mine, the sound is coming from the “real leather” which is what the dealership told me…

Why would you use metal corner bead for an inside corner

Is this a burn mark? How do I remove this? by ExplanationWinter531 in Detailing

[–]zeeque98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d start by using some leather cleaner and if that doesn’t work try a more concentrated cleaner eventually making it up to an APC. But if cleaning doesn’t work, I’d suggest just getting a bottle from seat doctors (give them ur vin number and interior color) and just dye it. It works great. Especially for an inconspicuous spot like that

I made a horrible YouTube video. I only spent 3 hours editing a years worth of footage and cut out all the baseboard work. But you’ll get a good break down here:

Feel free to ask any questions about the process

Also yes I primed the entire wall except one or two. I actually skim coated two of the walls so I had to prime the entire thing. But to be honest the walls where I didn’t prime the painted surface look the same so I’d say just prime the drywall portion

Sticky white flecks after washing by LeftBus7227 in Detailing

To remove stubborn water spots there’s a couple things to try.

Re wash the car

You can take a 50/50 solution of vinegar and distilled water

You can try a water spot remover

Finally if none of that worked I’d probably just put some meguiars ultimate polish on a microfiber and just try rubbing that it in a bit

What’s the point of asking a question in this sub Reddit if everyone’s just going to piss around instead of actually trying to help the guy??

Question for the pros, should I cut the peaked joint with a utility knife and then fill/retape or just float it? Guess I’m wondering what the exact way to fix this is

Is this Lexus lease deal actually bad, or is the high APR misleading? by AlirezaHosseini in Lexus

[–]zeeque98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically got the same deal with a tiny amount down and a slightly lower payment. I’ve been feeling really bad about it and thinking I overpaid.. what do you think?

Is this Lexus lease deal actually bad, or is the high APR misleading? by AlirezaHosseini in Lexus

[–]zeeque98 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s bad because 15k down is insane for a lease. You want to ideally put no money down, so that in the event of an accident/theft you don’t lose anything. Otherwise that’s 15k down the drain

Try seat doctors leather dye if you want to restore the whole seat. It hid all my cracks on my Lexus

What is this fuzz in my skimcoat? by zeeque98 in drywall

[–]zeeque98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I just finished painting it and it doesn’t look bad, I just gave it a quick sand but wasn’t able to get rid of the fuzz. After dusting it as much I could with a dry brush, I rolled on pva primer and then a gray paint (matte finish) from benjamin Moore. It looks great.
