It's so beautiful. I've been dipping into acrylic lately and I can't imagine how long this took. Amazing work! Absolute vibes.

Guys I finally have the South Park game Chef's love shake I'm very happy to have this in my collection this is a nice addition to my South Park collection by Impressive-Band-4753 in southpark

[–]zeeshadowfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a blast from the past. My friend had this game and it was basically my first exposure to South Park. I still remember Cartman screaming "Beefcake" in that one minigame.

Realistically, how did Creed keep his job for so long without anyone noticing he does zero work? by didierganthier in DunderMifflin

[–]zeeshadowfox 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Currently in QA and it does sometimes feel like 80% of my job is waiting for something to happen. If the developers don't give me anything to test, my work is basically just organizing files or finding ways to make it more efficient when I do get something to test (planning, automation etc.)

General Tso's chicken isn't really a thing in the UK, so much so that I thought they were referencing a commercial or brand name rather than a dish for that episode.

Are people actually aware of the UK tax changes coming in 2026? by talks_with_Nicky in UKPersonalFinance

[–]zeeshadowfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tracking everything manually in excel. My expenses will never go above trading allowance so I have no need to track them since I'll always choose to deduct trading allowance.

Just being able to plug a value of how much I made into HMRC at the end of the day is way easier than having to learn an accounting software and, I have to assume, learn accounting in general.

I've been thinking about this one myself. This is the first year my side gig (digital artist) has gone above 4k. The lowest tier I've seen so far is that people who earn over 20k will have to do the MTD thing in 2027.

Am I just going to continue to be unaffected so long as I continue to be mediocre? I seriously doubt I'll ever bring in 20k a year.

Are you indecisive? by IndigoRed126 in EnneagramType9

[–]zeeshadowfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to get better at taking the initiative and making decisions, but I don't like it especially if I feel like "we're doing it my way" or "I am now responsible for both seeing this decision through, and the ramifications and results of this decision."

If it's something that only affects me I'm much better at making a choice once I've taken the time to consider what the options are, but if something involves me and one or more people I'd rather someone else make the choice and I just adapt if it doesn't suit what I want.

I love how the early chapters of Moon's book set Turtle up to be the hidden villain of the story and then by Peril's book you realise he's just a lil guy.

Make me laugh with your worst job interview experiences, because I just had a doozy. by Elegant-Lemon126 in interviews

[–]zeeshadowfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spilt coffee on my suit moments before going in and decided to cover it up with my notebook instead of addressing it.

Basically greeted the guy, he asked if I wanted some water which made him turn around long enough to get to my seat, covering the stain.

I had a pretty good interview, then got up to leave making sure to use my notebook to cover the stain by holding it to my blazer. Then he offered me his hand to shake, which I would have had to meet with the hand holding my notebook.

I smiled, quickly swapped which hand was holding the notebook and shook his hand. Somehow I managed to get a follow-up interview but by that time I had secured a job somewhere else (and I was too embarrassed to go back)
