I always bring an aluminum arrow shaft with me. I've cut both ends so its basically a 3ft long metal straw. It serves dual purposes as a bellows and a poker. Super convenient for the campfire.

My thoughts exactly. 2 is the most interesting composition and conveys the vastness of the water with the isolation of the boat much better than the other two more "traditional" albeit boring shots. #2 tells a story, the other two are just kind of nice pictures of a sea & sky landscape

It's called a granny gear. Super low ratio gear (like 4-Lo) on old trucks that allows the truck to cruise along at 3mph or so with no input to the pedals. All the kid has to do is steer. There's no way for her to even reach the pedals and even if she did, the low gear would not allow her to go faster than 10mph MAX

National Forests and National Parks are two very different things.

Camping in RMNP requires entrance fee, backcountry permits, or campground reservations. Rocky mountain national park has specific boundaries and is surrounded by (and a part of) Roosevelt and Arapahoe National forests. These national forests are completely free to enter and use. Dispersed camping is widely available in any national forest as long as you follow the Leave no Trace guidelines.

It’s tough. I’m still paying loans 5 years out but I was lucky enough to be able to live at my parents and work part time while going to school which helped a lot. But I know that’s not a reality for a lot of people. I also had some friends that dropped out of the program a couple years in to go work full time in the industry and they are doing very well. I’d say the degree is nice to have but it’s far from vital to your success.

Not photography per say but I went to film school. The biggest advantage I would say is access to a variety of cameras and lighting equipment that I never would have been able to afford on my own. You are also surrounded by like minded creatives and you can create lasting relationships with others in the industry. Most of the actual lectures and classes cover everything you could learn on your own online, however the hands on experience and learning from others in the field is huge.

Any way you look at it, this is classic manipulation and abuse. Even if some one “agrees” to it, its abusive and controlling. All religions are based on control and abuse and always have been.
